This culture and food tour was not worth the time and money. Our host was very nice and did the best job he could. The tour was lacking both Cultural and Gastronomic substance. The food was not good ( mainly junk food ) and the tour was poorly organized. At many of the tasting locations, there was nowhere to sit. There was a lot of walking involved. It simply was not what we were expecting based upon previous food tours that we have taken in other countries. Again, our host was wonderful but had very little to work with as the cultural itinerary and the food selections chosen by the tour operator were quite lacking in all around quality especially in light of the cost for this tour. I would not recommend.
I really enjoyed this food tour with Roman from Ollantay Food Tours. We had a good variety of items and were full by the end. Roman was friendly and enthusiastic and addressed everyone by name throughout the tour – he has an amazing memory! All along the tour he threw in bits of local history, so we learned about the city as well as the food. There is a fair amount of walking so wear comfortable shoes. 100% would recommend to new and repeat visitors to Amsterdam.
Leo did a great job showing us around different places! We learned a lot about Amsterdam all while having great food. Would recommend to anyone who visits and wants to try different foods!

Lots of food. Barry was attentive and informative.
The guide was excellent! The tour description indicated we would stop at 10 places, I think we went to 5 or 6. We walked without an opportunity to sit during most of the tour. The cheese stop gave micro samples, terrible. Mostly dessert items. Not the best tour.
We have learned that food tours, mixed with cultural highlights, are a wonderful way to experience a city. This tour of Amsterdam with Carolina was another great experience. Her knowledge of food and culture was excellent and she has a delightful personality. The “samplings” were more than generous and we were stuffed at the end of the tour!
We had a blast on this tour with Leo. He is a phenomenal guide. He provided interesting information and kept the tour moving at a great pace. There was a great variety of items to try. This is a walking tour so be prepared to walk the city. But Leo made it fun!
