Private excursion with a dedicated guide. Our guide and driver is named Christos. Although the entrance to the sites is a private matter, Christos takes you to the sites while providing a lot of information. According to the interests he perceives in his passengers, he adds sites, including free sites, such as a Venetian castle on top of a mountain with spectacular views or the excavation of the port where Saint Paul landed on his journey to Corinth. It is a trip full of views of spectacular landscapes and visits to important historical sites, such as the Roman city of Corinth, walking the streets where Saint Paul preached, the acropolis of the first European empire, Mycenae (1200 BC), and the theater of Epidaurus, which is 2,500 years old with unmatched acoustics in modern theaters, which turns out to be part of a huge complex where thousands of Greeks and Romans traveled to heal from illnesses. We had lunch in Naplion, the first capital of independent and modern Greece, now a very picturesque place. It is worth it. Cristos speaks very good English and his passion is service and showcasing the greatness of his wonderful country.
Chris was an exceptional driver and guide! He was on time, professional and courteous, and had lots of inside knowledge that really enhanced our trip. He really helped us experience and appreciate Nafplio more than we would have on our own, and made the rest of the tour low stress and easy. It was so much better with him - can’t say it enough!
Great private tour to multiple historic sights. Our guide was knowledgeable, kind, and very prompt. Long day but worth it.
First, the positive: our driver was wonderful, warm, friendly, and extremely accommodating. The remainder is all negative: although there was a lady on the van with a microphone, she spoke no English. In Greece, if there is no one to explain the history and answer questions, you are just looking at old stones. It is the stories that make the history come alive. The tour company's answer was that a licensed archeological guide costs more. But we did not need a licensed archeological guide -- we just needed an English-speaker who was familiar with Greek history. Instead, there were short audiotapes played on the van, like on a hop-on-hop-off bus. Not only were these very difficult to hear, but when paying over $1,000 for a tour, one expects more than available on a hop-on-hop-off bus.
Sat 19 Oct 2024 Traveler names: Mary M (Adult) Patricia N(Adult) Thomas K (Adult) Elizabeth B (Adult) George K (Adult) Debra K (Adult) Clara H (Adult) Steven H(Adult) The travelers 8 adults plus luggage (8 cargo size, 8 cabin size), booked a private tour to visit areas out of Athens, up to 10 hours, with Pick up from Piraeus cruise terminal and dropped off at the Athens airport. The driver provided audio documentaries during the travel as we describe in our inclusions. Travellers believed that they should have in price a tour guide to answer their questions during travel. The lady in the minibus was only a hostess (part of our luxury service) and not a tour guide. We specifically clarify that a tour guide is not included. We suggested that if they wish to include a licenced tour guide , it could be arranged at an additional charge but they denied. Finally they blamed us for the high cost (1000$) to accommodate 8 travelers plus luggage in a luxury minibus, with pick up from Piraeus port and Drop off at a hotel near the airport ( 55 km from pick up point) for a full day private tour out of Athens up to 10 hours. Travellers booked this tour 4 times and cancelled it 3 times because they couldn't find another competitive price, plus they ignored that 30% was Viator commission Thank you in advance all of you for your understanding.
Spiros was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw a lot of history. It was a fantastic trip which I highly recommend.

Chris was well prepared for our very thorough tour and brought us a lot of detailed information for each site and stop, and lots of enthusiasm. We had a fantastic day and really enjoyed Chris.
We had Nicholaos as our private driver for this tour. We were able to change our trip to accommodate our wishes and so didn’t go to Corinth this particular trip. He was very personable , answered our questions about the sites and we felt very safe in his vehicle. We highly recommend Nicholaos !
