最初の目的地は、日光の人里離れた緑豊かな木々に囲まれた小さな渓谷です。ガイドが渓谷の有名な化け地蔵について説明しながら、透き通った川に沿って歩きます。（化け地蔵）渓谷の道には70体もの地蔵が並んでいると言われていますが、伝説によると、数えるたびにその数は変わるそうです。ぜひご自身の目で確かめてみてください。上流の崖に彫られた梵字も見つけられるので、目を凝らしてください。ここには小さな滝もありますので、ぜひお楽しみください。
次の目的地は、伝統的な建築と庭園を楽しめる、歴史ある伝統的な日本の別荘です。多くの歴史的に重要な人物が住んでいた江戸時代と明治時代の建物を歩きながら、タイムスリップしたような気分を味わってください。徳川幕府から皇室まで、ガイドがかつての住人について語ってくれます。別荘の周囲にある、美しく塗装され装飾された杉板の扉に注目してください。
世界遺産の日光国立公園の入り口に位置するこの橋は、日本三大景勝橋のひとつに数えられています。1636年に建設されて以来、多くの人々が行き交ってきました。美しい景色を楽しみ、もちろん素敵な写真を撮りましょう。
この遺産には、金箔、鮮やかな色彩、木彫りで飾られた日本で最も精巧で豪華な建造物がいくつかあるので、たくさんの写真を撮るのを忘れないでください。最初の目的地は、徳川家光三代将軍が祀られ埋葬されている大猷院です。寺院の敷地は精巧な装飾と素晴らしい仏像で飾られています。本堂の中には、徳川家光がかつて着用していた武士の甲冑を見ることができます。
次の目的地は、私たちが思うにこの旅の主役、東照宮です。ここで最も注目すべき場所は、日本で最も有名で権力のある将軍、徳川家康が祀られている豪華な日光東照宮です。有名な「眠り猫」や「三猿」の木彫りも見ることができ、徳川家康の霊廟も訪れます。また、徳川家康の時代の遺物、甲冑、刀剣、私物などを収蔵する博物館も訪れます。

Amazing tour of the Nikko Heritage Park! Jeff and Karina were amazing tour guides who went above and beyond and were incredibly knowledgeable about the area and sights. They gave great advise on other parts of my itinerary as well! Nikko is definitely worth going to - it's a very scenic and cultural spot!
This was a very interesting and memorable experience, giving insight into Japanese history and culture. Our guide Jeff did an excellent job of leading us round the National Park to the many points of interest. It took the best part of a day, with a 1 hour 40 mins train journey from Tokyo included.
Jeff accommodated the tour with the most amount of time for what we had and did perfectly, I was walking slow and there was no complains as Jeff helped any way for how we can help or change anything to accommodate our route and change anything if needed. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to see Nikko this was one of the best tours I had in Japan after visiting cities from Nagasaki between Tokyo!
Absolutely fantastic day trip. This is my 5th tour with Snow Monkey Resorts in a span of 2 years, and this one was as amazing as the previous ones. Beth and Jeff were such amazing tour guides. Everything was well planned out and taken care of - tickets, train-fare everything. Nothing was rushed. The Abyss was a hidden gem, with stunning views. The shrines and temples were so intricate. It was a long and jam packed day with lots of great memories and photos. Thank you so much for yet another unforgettable experience!
My guide Beth was so welcoming, knowledgeable fun and kind! Lunch was delicious and it was just the right amount of walking. I cannot say enough about how impressed I was by Beth's passion for this beautiful place. Our day in Nico will shine in my memory so beautifully for years to come.

The trip was perfectly balanced. We started in a less touristic area where we were able to see the “baby statues” and an imperial villa, while we finished with the beautiful and unique Nikko’s National Park. We were lucky and we did the tour alone with our guide Beth ( native speaker) who was able to give us a private tour. It was wonderful!
