Excellent full day tour in Nikko. This is a full day that starts early but you see a lot and get plenty of free time as well as planned restroom breaks and time to pick up food/drinks. Jose did a good job keeping the tour running smoothly and making sure everyone was accounted for. This tour is especially great if you do not have time for an overnight stay in Nikko/don’t want to bother with arranging your own transport.

Jorge, the tour guide, was amazing! It was raining for the whole time but it was still enjoyable to visit the shrine. The entire surrounding is peaceful… sky tall dense trees along the steps on the grounds…. Pretty peacefully I think if no one really talks… It is sooo foggy that I could hardly see the waterfall. But I was very contented as I had the grilled iwanq (mountain trout), quite smell than the normal trout, yuba fried croquettes (yuba is the tofu skin), Nikko butaman (steamed buns with minced porks as filling) and suiton (soup with mushrooms, radish, doughs, with scallions on the top).

Good experience doing the tour

Overall positive laid back day! We wanted to see outside of Tokyo and this scratched that itch! Nikko was a beautiful oasis! The temple/ shrine was really cool because it is both Buddhist and Shinto. They are amazing buildings! Things that are good to know-it is a bus ride about 2.5 hours with a stop at a rest stop. Japan knows how to do a rest stop! That was almost as cool as the sites (not as cool, but really fun!) Bring a book or pillow and enjoy the process. We needed a chill day after the day we had before so this was perfect!!! Also our guide spoke in both Spanish and English. His native language was Spanish and his English was fast and accented. I speak a bit of Spanish so I understood, just an FYI if that might be a problem. Plenty of time to explore at the sites, but not enough to be bored. Customizable to your needs. Overall a wonderful day. I recommend it!

Very good tour, day trip from Tokyo

Absolutely amazing trip, we had Naomi as our guide and she was fantastic from start to finish. We were given very clear pick-up instructions and she ran the day on time throughout. We had lots of time on our own to explore but were provided with lots of history about where we were. Naomi conducted the tour in English and Spanish, and was absolutely great at switching between the languages and making sure we all had our needs met and questions answered. Best tour so far on our wonderful trip to Japan. Thank you Naomi

The journey was heavy and very long, more than 5 hours to get from the lake to Tokyo. The guide did not wait for people when we got off the bus; when we were getting out, he had already left without saying anything. He also spoke very fast and sometimes he could not be understood. Very few explanations and the stops that were worth it were too short. The truth is that it was a very weak experience.
