I was very, very satisfied ☺️ Triziana was very nice and helpful, told us everything in a few languages, especially in German for me. She gave us her number, I could call her, she answered immediately and advised me on how I could get around by metro. That was a short but very beautiful day in Rome.

Initially met at port pickup by a very nice person named Connie who said we could arrange drop off and pickup in Rome with our driver who could speak English. Once inside the van the driver Sandro did not speak English and was very irate. He made numerous calls to one of his associates yelling in Italian that he was not getting paid enough to drive our group to our drop off points and that we should have paid more for the trip. My friend speaks Italian and fully understood his conversations. He made us feel very uncomfortable and stressed out. He yelled and honked at drivers all along the way. We paid for an informational tour in the way to Rome but received absolutely nothing. This was the worst excursion we have ever had. I do not recommend this tour company and will hopefully receive a refund.

On the day of your service, as the bus was not operating, we arranged an upgrade to a higher-category vehicle, allowing you to travel by minivan and offering you the possibility of making multiple stops in Rome instead of being limited to the originally scheduled stop. We are very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the driver. We take your comments seriously and are reviewing the circumstances of the service with our team. We also provide our guests with an emergency contact number that is available throughout the service, precisely so that we can be contacted immediately should any problem arise. Unfortunately, we did not receive any call or report from the group during the tour, so we were not aware that you were experiencing difficulties and therefore did not have the opportunity to intervene at the time. Nevertheless, we are genuinely sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations. The scene at the meeting point was chaotic, at best. This company put all guests (English-speaking) traveling to Rome on a van with a driver, apparently not an employee of the company, who spoke no English. The driver was confused about where we were traveling, was unable to arrange a meeting point for the return, became loud and irate, and in the end of course offered nothing else other than the transportation. He also repeatedly tried to cut short the time we had in Rome. Never again.

This is a great option for cruise passengers looking to visit Rome for the day! The bus stop is a few doors down from the train station and was an easier, cheaper more personal experience than taking the train.

Oyo Tours informed us that there where issues with the buses so they had arranged for a minivan to transport us to Rome. We exchanged numbers with the driver, Enrico, who gave us a few options, he would drop us off wherever we wanted or if we wanted him to give us a tour. We opted for drop off as we already had booked sightseeing bus. He arranged a pickup at the Collosuem later in the afternoon and dropped us right outside the ship.

Reviews need to offer zero stars because that’s what this deserves. The trip we purchased indicated someone would meet us with our name on a sign. The meeting time was 9:30 AM. We were there at 9:20, no one with our name was there. There were hundreds of people in the area meeting buses for excursions, all except ours. The phone number provided, no answer. Texting that number through WhatsApp, no answer. So in addition to paying $197 for nothing, we also lost the money for the Hop on Hop Off bus in Rome (another $60) and had to pay $210 to hire another tour of Rome which was a nightmare, but the only option left to us when we were left stranded by this horrible company. I’m still trying to figure out how to get a refund. TripAdvisor says contact vendor and vendor doesn’t reply.

In your case, the information provided included: - Meeting Point: Largo della Pace (bus terminal just outside the Port of Civitavecchia) - Meeting Time: 09:30 AM - Instructions: From your ship, you must take the free shuttle bus provided by the port to the terminal, where our staff waits next to the purple box with yellow writing that says “OYO TOURS.” Our staff is on site from early in the morning, clearly visible and ready to assist guests. Our company name and emergency phone number are clearly displayed at the meeting point, as shown in the photos available on our website. The day before the tour, we also send out digital audioguides (included in the service) and contact details, including our 24/7 emergency number. On the day of the tour, we did not receive any calls or messages from your number. That same morning, other participants with identical bookings joined the tour without issue. We understand your disappointment with how the day unfolded, but based on all available information, the service was properly organized and delivered as planned. We hope your future travels bring you more positive experiences.
