Olivier was wonderful. The wines were amazing and the scenery, breathtaking. All I wanted and more. So good we took another tour with Olivier the next day as well.

Had a great time on the full day Southern Burgundy tour with Sebastian. He was highly engaging and knowledgeable, and took great care of the group. Enjoyed the wines and the winery visits tremendously!

My daughter and I took three day-trips with Kanpai Tourisme during our stay in Lyon in May, 2025: South Burgundy Wines; Pérouges & Beaujolais; and Northern Cotes du Rhone Wine Tour. All of our tours were led by Olivier. Each day was a delight. We enjoyed the scenery, the tastings, and learning about the area and wine-making. Olivier shared his knowledge of the process in an informative and entertaining manner, and assisted in the tastings. The places we stopped were lovely and varied in type. We also enjoyed seeing the ancient towns, with history provided by Olivier. We enjoyed that he stayed with the small group (total 8 passengers each day) during our lunches, chatting about the areas, wine, and a bit of his history. We had so much fun on our outings, and felt really cared for and safe. After our time in Lyon, we enjoyed a river cruise, and then more time in Avignon, with day-trips from there. Looking back, our time with Olivier and Kanpai were definite highlights of a wonderful trip. I’ve done a fair bit of traveling over my years, and I would put our time with Olivier’s Kanpai tours as some of the best guided trips I have ever experienced.

We had a fantastic day trip with Olivier! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the two regions we visited and we enjoyed learning about the history and wine. The tastings were fun and informative too. We were trying to avoid renting a car and I know there's no way we would have had a similar experience on our own. I'd absolutely recommend this day trip to anyone!

Oliver was an amazing host! Had a breath of extensive knowledge about the region and its wine, and made us feel very welcomed in Lyon. Lunch destination was also fantastic. 100% recommend.

Olivier is an amazing host and genuinely a wonderful person. His tour company came highly recommended by our 5 star hotel. I found Olivier’s to be very reasonably priced for what I would ordinarily expect. However, Olivier’s tour is not ordinary at all. He spent the time to understand what we wanted to see and what was really important for us. He personalized the full-day tour, including special stops and wineries, and even went beyond what I’d ever expect by researching and translating information about a very particular aspect of the tour we had a deep interested in. On tour day, he arrived early, his English is very good, and he made sure that everything was translated for us. He had a fully packed schedule for us, yet at no time did any aspect of the day feel rushed or as if we were on a purposely timed schedule. He seems to know all of the winery owners personally and knows the roads around Beaujolais very well. I highly recommend touring with Olivier, and I look forward to doing another tour with him next time we’re in the region.

We booked a full day tour with Kanpai as recommended by the concierge at our hotel and it was one of the best days of our vacation. Olivier was extremely knowledgeable about the region and wines and provided excellent narrative during our tastings. Its clear hes passionate about this topic. He also took us to a local restaurant for lunch where we had an excellent meal at a place we wouldn't have found on our own. I would consider no visit to Lyon complete without doing a wine tour with Kanpai!
