I have done wine tours in the S. France, Spain, Portugal, etc. none of them was as special as this wine tour. Petra owns her tour company & she treats this like a private group tour, & that sets the tone for everything done on this excursion. She connects to everyone's need like a host, her van is nice & comfortable, she starts the orientation with a lovely nature picnic setup with home made lyonnaise treats & drinks, she is quite knowledgeable & connected to the region, & her pick of the wineries is quite special. We saw 2 organic family owned wineries with delishes tastings, the second winery I found quite impressive. We met "the true French wine maker" PJ, who comes from 8 generations of wine making, he bought a polluted winery & turned it into an organic one, a one man show, replaced the vines, planted 1500 trees to grow the underground mycelium & increase the biodiversity of the land, who made me truly appreciate the connection between wine makeing & nature. Forget all the frills of big tasting rooms & tasting hosts, this is the experience that makes a long lasting memory. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Petra's delishes home made Gazpacho, & other tasty goodies & drinks in our picnic lunch, & the visit to the old village Oingt at the end of our tour was lovely. By the way, I don't drink that much wine & I really enjoyed this tour, so imagine how you would feel!!

Amazing experience! I highly recommend to anyone interested in an authentic Beaujolais wine experience. Petra is an excellent host!

An amazing day with Petra in the Beaujolais region. Visits to local wineries with one on one time spent with the wine makers who imparted their knowledge. Pete’s provided an amazing picnic lunch and took the time to explain the region to us, the day finished with a visit to Oingt a medieval village which is part of the Golden Stones Villages. Petra’s communication was excellent prior to the day and she was an engaging informative guide on the day. Highly recommend spending the day with Petra

Petra is a knowledgeable guide who is passionate about the region and truly loves what she does. She takes the time to carefully curate an itinerary that meets her guests’ needs based on the weather of the day and which vineyards have availability. We appreciated her commentary and details of the region. The food and wine provided on the tour were plentiful and first class, including homemade pastries local to the region. She is a planner and thought of everything, down to coffee after lunch! We have been on large, impersonal wine tours previously and this was so much better. Meeting the owners of the vineyards and hearing their stories firsthand is an experience we’ve never had before. If the tour is available when you are looking to book, you are lucky!

We had a wonderful day trip with Petra! The wineries she took us to were quaint and very personable!! The lunch provided was delicious and the scenery was awesome!! We truly recommend taking this tour with Petra!! She did a fantastic job!!

Very fun and educational experience! Petra is friendly and knowledgeable about everything Beaujolais wine and the region. The winemakers we spoke too were both very passionate and excited to have us. Over a dozen wines to taste, each with its own unique flavour and harvesting/fermenting origin to analyze. The beautiful French countryside is definitely worth getting out of Lyon or Paris to see. Comfortable and spacious van, super easy pickup and drop off no matter where you stay in Lyon.

Petra took care of every detail possible. She had the whole plan in place, from scheduling the visits with the vineyards to catering and driving. We had a great day and the weather was amazing - that also helped a lot.

We had an amazing time! Petra was super friendly and knowledgeable. Both me and my friend enjoyed the tour massively! Petra has worked around wine for a while and it was a lovely experience to go around with her in the small wine region of Beaujolais. We had quite a few different wines on the day which was amazing! 5-6 per winery plus 3 more at breakfast and lunch combined. So for those wanting to try a few different ones, I recommend it! We were on a small and lovely group and so it made our day even more enjoyable! Plus the picnic outside was super fun ! In addition visiting villages and stopping at different parts of the countryside, was amazing!

This activity in terms of its value for money is quite exceptional because it is difficult to imagine a better wine experience. We were a very dynamic group of 6 people and to meet the artisans who triangulate hard to offer us products of unprecedented quality was quite fascinating. Thanks to our winemakers Jean-Baptiste and Celia who welcomed us on their estate to share and make us discover their passion for wine. Let’s not forget our guide Petra who, despite the rain and the cold, carried the activity at arm’s length by radically changing its course. Its 100% French gastronomic picnic, which was both tasty and superbly synchronized with the theme of our meeting. A very memorable outing that we will talk about for a very long time. Our Beaujolais Wine Tour has been the highlight of our European trip, which has included stays in Lucerne & Geneva Switzerland, Milan Italy, and Munich Germany. The 3 most distinguishing features of our tour were (in this order): 1. Our tour guide and owner, Petra, was intimately familiar with the Beaujolais region, it's unique history, and the factors that create the distinctive characteristics of the regions vineyards. In addition, Petra was a truly lovely individual who took pride in her business and satisfaction of her customers. She personally prepared many of the delicious dishes that we ate for lunch. 2. The vineyards and their owners, who cheerfully described their craft, as well as the unique characteristics of the land, their vines, and the process that they performed to produce a product that met their expectations. It was very obvious that they loved what they were doing. 3. The group of people, none of whom we initially knew, and their authentic interest in the region, history, and processes used in producing wine. I can't emphasize how great of an experience and value that we derived from this unique tour.
