My partner and I were looking forward to seeing Tallinn during our cruise, and this was a lovely way to experience the city together. The Old Town was even more charming than we expected, especially the little cobblestone streets and quiet corners between the main sights. We enjoyed hearing the stories behind the buildings because it gave the city much more personality. Our guide pointed out details we probably would have walked straight past on our own. We also liked that the pace wasn't exhausting. There was enough walking to really explore the historic center, but transportation was available when needed, and the vehicle was comfortable and air-conditioned. We had time for photos and to enjoy the atmosphere instead of constantly watching the clock. Tallinn's mix of Gothic architecture, colorful buildings, and medieval history made it a memorable cruise stop for us. It felt like a good balance between learning about the city and simply enjoying being there.

A Great Introduction to Tallinn
We had about five hours in Tallinn during our cruise stop, so we wanted to see the main sights without feeling like we were rushing from one place to another. This worked out really well for our family. Starting in the Old Town was definitely the highlight. The narrow streets, old buildings, medieval towers, and beautiful churches made it feel like we had stepped into another time. Our guide shared plenty of history and little stories along the way, but it never felt like a boring history lesson. The difference between the Upper Town and Lower Town was especially interesting to see in person. We also appreciated having comfortable transportation between the different parts of the visit. Everything felt well organized around our cruise schedule, which gave us peace of mind. The kids even enjoyed walking through the old streets more than we expected. A really enjoyable way to spend our limited time in Tallinn.

Memories and understanding Tallinn
The tourist guide, Siri, is fine and accommodating. She is very knowledgeable and how she imparts the information is quite enticing, if not interesting. She knows every corner of the place to visit and the story behind those places.

A relaxed way to see the Amalfi Coast
We booked this excursion during our cruise stop in Naples and it worked well for our family. The pickup at the cruise port was straightforward, and having transportation arranged made the day much easier, especially with different ages in our group. Our English-speaking guide explained the area as we traveled and gave us useful background without overwhelming us with information.
We particularly liked having some free time to explore the Old Town at our own pace. It gave us a chance to walk around, take photos, grab something to eat, and enjoy the atmosphere rather than spending the whole day following a strict schedule. The vehicle was air-conditioned and the driver handled the roads confidently.
The biggest thing for us was knowing that the schedule was planned around our cruise departure. We returned to the ship on time and never felt rushed or worried about getting back. Overall, it was a comfortable day with a good balance between guided sightseeing and personal time.

A good option when traveling alone
I was traveling solo on a cruise and wanted to see more of the Amalfi Coast without dealing with buses, trains, and multiple connections on my own. This excursion made the logistics much simpler.
Pickup at the cruise port was well organized, and the transportation was comfortable. The guide was easy to communicate with and gave interesting explanations about the different places we visited. I appreciated that the commentary didn't feel like a nonstop lecture.
The free time was probably my favorite part. I could explore the Old Town at my own pace, take photographs, look into a few small shops, and simply enjoy the surroundings. Traveling alone sometimes means tours can feel awkward, but this one had a relaxed atmosphere.
The return schedule was also important because I had a ship to catch. Everything stayed on schedule and I got back to the port in good time. Overall, it was a practical and enjoyable way to see the coast during a limited cruise stop.

Read reviews. This tour is not like how it is described.
The description of this tour is very misleading. This is a tour of Old Town Tallin. First upper and then lower. This tour is a walking tour for at least 4 hours with cobblestone. There is a short bus ride from the port to the gate of the old town. While the description says Admission is free that does not mean it is included. Some sites were not ever offering admission while others charged an admission fee that was not included in the tour. The guide does not include information about Tallin in general but focuses on history and architecture. The guide does not have a speaker or headphones for participants and was difficult to hear. The viewing point is not easily accessible due to large crowds, The guide also could not provide maps to us for our free time because he only had 1 or 2. Our free time was limited due to having to walk 30 minutes from the old city to meet the bus. Do not take this tour if you cannot stand on your feet for several hours. The places viewed are close together for the most park and not castles or interesting, We went on our own to visit churches and better views of old city. I felt we could have done this walk around ourselves. Most travelers on this trip were expressing confusion about what we would be viewing. I spoke with Viator and asked them to have the tour operator change the posting to reflect more accurately. I have received no response from them regarding this.
事業者からの返答
We regret to hear about your disappointment. Let me briefly address the concerns raised:
1. “Admission is free” and “admission is included” are not the same thing, the first one mentioned means that no interior visit is provided as part of the tour.
2. We do not use headsets when working with small groups of 12 participants. To hear the guide clearly, guests simply need to remain with the group and follow the standard tour pace.
3. We do not advertise or provide printed maps. You are welcome to use Google Maps on your own device or purchase any map or additional material you may need from a local shop.
4. Thank you for the priceless advice: “Do not take this tour if you cannot stand on your feet for several hours.” The Additional Info section of this tour description clearly states that this tour is not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for guests with limited walking ability, as Tallinn Old Town is a PERESTRIAN zone. Since we do not use helicopters yet, walking remains the only option. 😊
5. If you had been able to maintain the standard group pace, you would also have learned that Tallinn’s Upper Town, known as Toompea Hill, is located directly within the historic Old Town, rising above the Lower Town on a limestone cliff. You are, of course, welcome to verify this fact on Google as well.
6. Your refund request was declined by Viator based on the verified facts mentioned above. Please do not refer to other members of the group unless you officially represent them. Yours was the only refund request received from the entire group, while the only concern raised by other participants was that the group repeatedly had to wait because you were falling behind.
When booking future activities through Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the published tour description, itinerary, inclusions, and restrictions rather than on personal assumptions.
Safe travels!

Well organized for a short cruise stop
I was traveling on a cruise with a fairly limited amount of time in Naples, so I wanted an excursion that would be organized without taking away the chance to explore independently. This tour suited that purpose quite well.
The port pickup was convenient and the transportation was comfortable. Our driver was professional, and the guide provided useful information about the destinations and the surrounding area. I appreciated the balance between scheduled sightseeing and free time.
Having some time in the Old Town was especially useful because I could explore independently rather than spending the entire excursion in a group. There was enough flexibility to walk around, take a few photos, and enjoy the local atmosphere.
For a cruise passenger, the return timing is obviously important. The schedule was managed carefully and we returned to the ship on time. I would consider this type of excursion again when visiting a port where I want to see several places but don't have the time or inclination to arrange everything independently.

Great memories from our cruise stop
Four of us booked this excursion because we wanted to experience more of the Amalfi Coast together. It was a full day, but the pace worked well for our group.
Our guide gave us interesting information about the places we passed and visited, while the driver took care of the roads and transportation. Having an air-conditioned vehicle made a noticeable difference, especially after walking around outside.
We liked that the tour wasn't completely rigid. The free time in the Old Town allowed us to split up for a little while and then meet back at the agreed location. We had time for photos, a short meal, and just wandering around without constantly checking the clock.
Since we were cruise passengers, getting back on time was a major concern. The schedule was respected and we returned to the port when expected. Overall, it was a good group experience and probably one of the easier ways for us to see several parts of the coast in one day.

A Lovely Day Together
This was exactly the kind of shore excursion we were hoping for. Traveling as a couple, we liked the balance between guided sightseeing and personal time.
The guide introduced us to many interesting places around Tallinn and answered everyone's questions patiently. The Old Town was beautiful, and having free time allowed us to enjoy a quiet lunch and simply walk around at our own pace.
Transportation was clean and comfortable, and the return to the cruise port was perfectly timed. Overall, it made for a very relaxing day ashore.

Well Managed from Beginning to End
Although I was traveling on a work-related cruise, I wanted to make the most of our stop in Tallinn. This excursion made that easy.
The transportation was punctual, comfortable, and professionally managed. Our English-speaking guide presented the city's history clearly and efficiently without overwhelming the group with too much information.
The free time was enough to explore independently before returning to the meeting point. Most importantly, everything ran according to schedule, and we arrived back at the cruise port with time to spare.
