Our driver picked us up from our accommodation in Naples and we enjoyed a very comfortable drive to Pompeii. Because of the heat, we chose to do an early tour. We met our private guide Mena at Pompeii and enjoyed spending the day with her. Mena was a wealth of knowledge and was fun and friendly. Pompeii was quite busy, however, we entered the area quickly because we had pre-booked. Having a private experience was more intimate compared with being part of a large group and we appreciated this. Following Pompeii, we had lunch (our driver took us to his recommended restaurant away from the touristy spots at Pompeii, and it was excellent!) Following lunch, we met Mena again at the Herculaneum. Another fascinating spot. We had such a great time, and CityEyes were wonderful and communicative throughout the booking process.
