Both cities are well worth seeing regardless of the time driving between them. Very nice guide, Andreas, and driver, Martino. So glad we had them show us these two interesting, historical spots.

This was a very interesting and enjoyable private tour and a great way to experience both Alberobello and Matera in one day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and added a lot to the experience. I also thought the price was very reasonable for a private tour, and having cold bottled water provided was especially appreciated on such a hot day. Alberobello was fascinating. The famous trulli houses were trulli amazing! They are unlike anything I had ever seen before and were a lot of fun to photograph. I also got to try prickly pear for the first time, which was a nice little unexpected experience along the way. Matera was probably the highlight for me. I had never experienced a city quite like it. Walking through the Sassi and seeing how homes, churches, and other spaces were actually carved into the rock was fascinating. The history of the city is incredible, and as someone who loves both history and photography, I could have spent hours exploring and photographing it. The church was another highlight. The incredibly ornate interior and all of the gold and silver decoration absolutely blew me away. It was unbelievably beautiful and one of those places where photographs really don't prepare you for seeing it in person. The only thing I would caution people about is the amount of walking. We happened to visit during an unusually hot period this year, and there is quite a bit of walking involved, including hills and steps. Keep the weather and time of year in mind when booking. On a cooler day, it would have been much more comfortable. Overall, this was an excellent day trip from Bari and a very good value for a private tour. If you enjoy history, architecture, photography, and experiencing places that are truly different from anywhere else, I highly recommend it.

Two very unique towns. Alberobello was so charming and the ancient city of Matera was amazing. Our driver Constantine was so accommodating and helpful. We had a wonderful day.

Very professional company, everything was perfectly organized. The driver and guide were both super friendly, knowledgeable and made the day really enjoyable. Matera is a unique town, that must be visited once in a lifetime. They also offered to change the drop-off point at the end of the tour as we preferred to stay closer to Bari city center see the christmas lights. You can trust them completely - and you won't regret it!

Booking this tour was the best decision we made. My husband, daughter, and I had a fantastic day in Matera and Alberobello. The driver and guide, Andreas and Piero, were both friendly and welcoming. He shared so much history and knowledge with us that we would never have known without his tour. He was generous with his time and gave us tips on the places we visited. The van ride was comfortable, air-conditioned, and on time at every stop. It was an excellent tour and well worth the time and money.

I travel frequently and have used aviator often, but I could not find the meeting spot. The private driver left without picking us up.

Really excellent experience and well worth the price. My group saw both Matera & Alberobello and chose to have both the driver & guide. Our guide Matthias was very attentive and provided a health of information. He took our group on tours of both locations and also provided a recommendation for where to eat in Alberobello. My family felt very cared for. Definitely would recommend.

We liked Matera so much we were running late to get to Alberobello. When you get there, venture off the main tourist street which is packed with souvenir shops.
