When you arrive you are brought to a large well furnished boat. Many people are trying to decide on their favourite location. But then just before cruise starts they tell you to get up and transfer to a very old boat with not enough seating on top deck so we remained standing whole time. Regardless Budapest is lovely and something to see from the water
Poor location. Way out of the way!! Poor quality trip. Not near enough seats or vantage areas to view for passengers. No service. The only time you saw staff was getting on or off. Welcome drink was half glass of lemonade or half glass of poor white wine. No opportunity for anything else. I would not recommend this excursion.
Terrible experience boat is really old and very poor in quality, there was not enough seats for passengers and most of passengers had to be standing. Wouldn’t recommend this activity to anyone.
There were 70 pax on a 100 pax boat, numbers do not add up. I understand that you did not get your preferred seat, though as it is clearly noted seats are taken in the order of arrival.
Very good value with a welcome aboard drink. Time it right and you'll get to enjoy sunset whilst aboard, when the city seems to change and come alive as the natural light drops and the city illuminates. A bit further out than some so make sure you have Uber or Bolt downloaded to make a swift exit when you dock.
The tour lasted one hour and that is the perfect amount of time to travel between Buda and Pest to see the beautifully lit buildings and monuments along the riverbank. A must see for anyone visiting Budapest.
Servers never came to check on tables for drink orders like stated at the announcement at the beginning of the tour. Also, no history overview was given on any of the buildings or Budapest in general like there has been on previous tours I’ve been on.
So you expect a non-guided tour to provide an audio guide... so much about being fair. I guess the same is true on the bar service... which is by the way not promised. Not to mention that there are the QR codes, you could have ordered with one click.
I don't recommend it, we arrived first, when they decided they changed our boat and we were left without a spot, bad drink and even worse boat. There are more options closer and better.
Had the perfect time for the sunset and the lighting of the parliament building. Unfortunately we had some wind and rain. Would have been nice to have a cover on the top deck.
Get there early to get in line. Seats up top fill up quickly. Best views are from the top. Great experience.
It’s worthwhile would highly recommend this experience. Everything is lovely in the evening hours. We did the last one of the night.
