Went to Humantay with Pappa Freddy. A truly wonderful guide who made every part of the trip enjoyable. From greeting me at tge ungodly hour to get the best experience with a smile and energy that made me know this would be a special day to dropping me off after the adventure. He strongly suggested taking horses up the mountain which was very wise. At the lake he gave a wonderful explanation of the spiritual connection between earth and sky...ice and water. He did a fantastic job taking 3 different sets of people in the group and making us feel like family. Waman takes care of their clients and Pappa Freddy made this a truly captivating and wonderful experience I will remember forever.
There were 6 people in our group (4 from San Diego, 2 from Hawaii). We had Ernesto as our tour guide for 4 days: Machu Picchu, Laguna Humantay Lake, Rainbow Mountain, and Chincheros. Ernesto was amazing!!! He was very patient, kind, knowledgeable, caring, and respectful. Our driver was also amazing, kept us safe during the ride.
