Title: Tours did not match what was advertised, in my experience
The Iberian ham tour lists, under "Highlights," that you will "meet the family that runs this farm" and, under "Inclusion," a "visit to a farm and local guide." There was no farm and no family. The tasting took place at a commercial ham-production facility, not a farm, and there was no farm guide. The website calls meeting the family "what makes this day a true highlight," yet it simply did not happen. The tour is advertised as eight hours; the actual ham experience lasted about an hour and leaned heavily on pre-recorded material. I was also charged an extra €18 for additional tastings, which the company later described to my credit card company as a "complimentary private upgrade." It was neither complimentary nor private: I paid for it, and another guest was present. To their credit, the driver was excellent, and the cave itself is genuinely worth seeing.
The Tapas and Flamenco evening was also less than advertised. The listing promises three tapas bars, three tapas, and four drinks. We visited two bars, one before the show and one after, and I received two tapas and two drinks. The guiding did not reflect the "expert" and "high quality" experience described.
When I raised these gaps, the company defended the tours as delivered "as advertised" and offered a token refund that did not reflect what was missing. I did not ask for everything back, only a fair partial refund for the parts I paid for and did not receive.
Bottom line: the driver and the cave were good, but the core experiences I paid a premium for, the farm, the family, the promised tapas and drinks, were not delivered as described. I would not book with this company again, and I would encourage others to compare the website's promises carefully against what is actually provided.

Hi Monica, we are very sorry you didn’t enjoy your tours. You booked two last-minute tours, paid for small group options, and received a free private upgrade from us. Despite this, you demanded a major refund on both experiences. For the first tour, your complaint was about how your guide—a professional flamenco artist—was dressed. For the second, you expected a live guide inside the Aracena Cave, which is not offered by the cave administration or by us.
Regarding the Iberian Ham tour, the €18 supplement you paid was strictly for an enhanced ham tasting, not the private tour upgrade, which we provided completely free of charge. The full 8-hour itinerary was fully delivered, including your private driver, cave entry, and a tasting at one of the most famous Iberian ham producers in the region. The only modified part was the field and livestock visit, which is currently banned by local authorities due to agricultural disease controls.
Demanding massive refunds after receiving premium, fully delivered services is unfair to our team and local partners.

Recommended trip to Huelva
Exciting visit where they make the best hams.
A very pleasant and exciting story from the sweetest guide who was very good at explaining the whole process from little pig to finished ham.

Unexpected favorite
The tasting was generous and genuinely delicious, we tried a few different types and left with a much better appreciation for why the ham here is such a big deal. Pro tip: skip breakfast before this one.
Then came the cave, which honestly caught us off guard. We weren't expecting the visit to Aracena Cave to be as impressive as it was, huge chambers, cool rock formations, little underground lakes. A really nice change of pace from all the eating.

Daniel Fernando was a wonderful driver and guide. The caves in Aracena were magical. Very glad we did it. We have been in caves before but this was magical. Our private tour of 5J’s was amazing. Highly recommend Marco was a very good guide. He is a fantastic educator. Highly recommend this tour. The tasting was very good.

Iberian Ham Tasting Tour from Seville
We had an amazing full-day tour with Daniel! Our guides were fantastic — both were incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and well-organized. Daniel made the entire experience smooth, engaging, and enjoyable. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or returning to the area, I’d highly recommend this tour for a well-paced and memorable day trip. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide or experience!

A must for food lovers!
My husband and I spontaneously booked a day trip from Seville for the Iberian Ham Tour. I booked on the 19th and got confirmation the next day. We were picked up by our driver Joan who had texted me his WhatsApp to pass along his number and check in. He was on time and very personable. Joan got us to our destination a bit early (very scenic route), so he took us to a region near a dam for a little bit of sight seeing. Once we got to the tour, we waited a bit to get set up with our guide that spoke English. Our guide was Charlotte who was lovely and spoke pretty clear English. She gave us a lot of info and we got up and close to the pigs that were only a few months old. Joan was with us to see the pigs but then departed to get us tickets for the cave and cathedral tour, plus a restaurant reservation. Charlotte took us around the facility and gave lots of info because she was going to test us when we were going to do our tasting. We had to wear a disposable coat, shoe coverings and hair net to walk around. We got to see the whole process with a couple of demonstrations while people were actually working. We had a quick run in with the family that owns the company and they were working just as hard with the rest of the team. At the end, we finally got to the tasting and test out or new knowledge and Joan rejoined with us here. Tasting was phenomenal and we got wine and sherry to pair. Afterwards, Joan took us to Aracena to have lunch at a cute restaurant near the cave. He helped us order then gave us privacy while we had lunch (which you pay for separately). We walked a bit around town until our tour time was ready and we met with Joan at the cave entrance. He passed us our tickets and explained what to do before letting us go. The cave is a guided tour, no self pace, but they have an English audio guide which the Spanish guide would tell us which section to play. There’s no picture, filming or touching in the cave. It was a really beautiful one where you get up and close to everything. There are a lot of stairs and a mix of steep and not steep. After the cave, we attempted to go to the castle which is up a hill next to the cave, but we were too tired and wanted to head back. Joan was able to get us back to where he picked us up and we napped most of the way there. We chatted a bit and I got to ask question about the train station since we were headed there the next day. Joan was super great driver and helpful. He also gave us privacy when we needed it. 10/10 recommend this tour with Not Just a Tourist!

Ham++
Oscar is a knowledgeable and wonderful guide who happily shared about Spain and its culture. The ham tasting tour was nothing short of what we expected, especially the blind tasting portion that came with wine. We had ample time for lunch at a bar in Aracena before touring the cave, which is a true hidden gem. Oscar also gave us a few bar recommendations and dropped us off at a convenient location for us to shop for olive oil in Seville. Overall, highly recommend! Thanks Oscar for your generosity!

Best day trip so far
We did this tour based on a suggestion from Mahsa, its not something that I would have picked normally. I'm so so glad we did it because it was the best day of our trip!
The farm tour and ham tasting was so fun and informative. You also go into the countryside of south Spain to see the farm and cave, so its a bit outside the regular tourist path, which I loved.
Carlos was an amazing guide (he also took us to Cordoba a couple days before), it was like spending a day with an old friend. He made sure we were taken care of at each stop as we don't speak spanish. I really recommend NJAT, they have great guides and smooth logistics, very easy to work with!

Dear Yiling, I am very glad you enjoyed your time with us and this tour. That very true that most people don't know about this option while in Spain this is the absolute must and something we all are crazy about. So I am very glad you could live like a Spaniard and taste some of the nicest Iberian ham that Spain has to offer. I wish you many happy & tasty travels!
