Harry was an amazing tour guide! He was so patient and accommodating with our group of 6 children. He drew on his experience as an elementary school teacher to recommend kid-friendly activities and fascinating insights about Takayama & Shirakawago throughout the day! Kondo was an incredibly safe driver and helped us load our strollers directly into the van. We loved our tour with Harry and Kondo so much we booked a second tour with them to Kamikochi! Highly recommend especially if you’re a large group in Takayama.

Harry is very knowledgeable, he patiently answered many questions, some not even directly related to the actual sights but more about japan in general. He has an affable personality and was also very accommodating with requests. I would highly recommend him.

Harry is an Englishman who absolutely passionate in what he is doing. He shares information of the place, good photo spots and takes nice photos for the group. He is willing to go the extra mile so that we know the place better. We learned a lot of the culture and the places from him. Hiro is a skilful driver who is polite and helpful. He is accommodating when we needed the convenience store or the washroom. Both are good duo.

7 of us booked directly with Snow Monkey Resorts for a day trip at Takayama and Shiragawago. Tour guide Harry is extremely knowledgeable on the history and culture of the places. We learned so much. Our driver(Hiro) is so polite and helpful (on the luggage) etc..strongly recommend.

Harry, our guide, and Hiro, our driver, were an exceptional co-working team. Harry was very knowledgeable and patient with answering all our questions. And Hiro was a safe driver, taking good care of our welfare, and ever so polite. Our Takayama- Shirakawago- Kanazawa private tour was a treat! Thank you both!

We had a fun day with Harry as he toured us around in both Takayama and Shirakawago. We started at Takayama Jinya, where we got so much more out of visiting the site with Harry's knowledge of the history. He really made the place come alive highlighting so many points of interest. We then walked through Sanmachi Suji where we learned about the area as well as the various street foods and sampled some saki. We made notes of Harry's favorite foods and went back during the free time to enjoy them. We also enjoyed strolling the morning market. We then took a very pleasant bus ride to Shirakawago through the amazing Japanese Alps. The scenery was stunning. Once we arrived at Shirakawago, Harry walked us through the village and toured us through one of the houses, which is still occupied by a family. Even though it was raining during our visit, we were able to enjoy this amazing UNESCO site and from amid the village and then above it for a stunning overview. Again, with Harry as our guide, we were really able to absorb more of the history and specialness of Shirakawago. We were then driven directly to our hotel in Kanazawa, which made our day complete.

The trip is amazing. Hemi is our English guide for today and he's wonderful. Thank you Hemi! It is an enjoyable day trip to visit the historic takayama and unesco shirikawago.

Hemi was a very personable and helpful guide. He brought us through the history behind the places we went as well as explained the meaning behind the traditions. Our family enjoyed the tour very much and we will definitely engage them again.
