ワディアルヒタンは、カイロの南西約150 kmにあるエジプトのファイユーム県の古生物学的遺跡です。 2005年7月にユネスコの世界遺産に登録されたのは、初期のクジラの一部である古細菌の数百もの化石です。
ワディアルラヤンは、カイロから約140 kmのファユーム砂漠の真ん中にあります。現在、2つの巨大な淡水湖、2つの湖に完全に覆われています。
ファイユームは中部エジプトの都市です。カイロから南西に100キロ離れたファイユームオアシスにあり、現代のファイユーム県の首都です。もともとエジプトではシェデットと呼ばれていましたが、ギリシア人はそれをコイニ・ギリシャと呼びました：Κροκοδειλόπολις

Hotel reception arranged the trip to wadi hitan with four wheel car and professional driver. The rout took 1 hour drive with nice views of Rocky Mountains and sandy desert. The museum at the location shows the history of the whales lived in the place when it was covered with water. The displayed whale skeletons shows how big they were. As well lot of fossils are displayed in the open air museum. It is all amazing.
