金閣寺（金閣寺、金閣寺）は、京都北部にある禅寺で、最上部の2階は金箔で完全に覆われています。正式に六音寺として知られるこの寺は、将軍足利義光の退職別荘であり、彼の意志によれば、1408年の死後、臨済宗の禅寺になりました。金閣寺は、銀閣寺（銀閣） 、数十年後、市の反対側にある義光の孫、足利義政によって建てられました。 金閣寺は大きな池を見下ろすように建てられた印象的な建造物で、吉光の元老人館の唯一の建物です。京都の大部分を破壊した内戦であるオニン戦争中の2回を含め、歴史を通じて何度も焼失しました。そして再び1950年、熱狂的な修道士によって火が放たれました。現在の構造は1955年に再建されました。

苔で覆われた門で終わる信じられないほど風光明媚なアプローチから始まり、法然院は最初から訪問者に魔法をかけます。中に入ると、訪問者を浄化すると言われている2つの砂丘の間を通ります。その後、池の上の美しい石の橋を渡り、コケに覆われた庭園を抜けて、メインホールの裏にある秘密の洞窟にたどり着きます。
京都の森林に覆われた東山のふもとにある広々とした敷地にある南禅寺は、日本で最も重要な禅寺の一つです。それは日本の禅宗の臨済宗内の学校の一つの本堂であり、寺院の建物のすでに大きな複合体をさらに大きくする複数のサブテンプルを含んでいます。 南禅寺の歴史は、13世紀半ばに亀山天皇が現在の場所に退職別荘を建て、後に禅寺に改築したことにまでさかのぼります。南禅寺は創立後は順調に成長しましたが、室町時代後期（1333-1573）の内戦で建物はすべて破壊されました。現在の建物の中で最も古いものは、その期間の後に建設されました。

嵐山の竹林の奥に建つ、人気俳優・大河内傳次郎（1896-1962）の旧別荘。大河内山荘は、住居、茶室、門など、いくつかの異なる庭園と建物から構成されています。建物は外観のみ見学可能です。
ジョジは、常寂光寺や二人院よりもさらに森に寄り添っています。高いカエデの木が点在する苔の庭で知られています。寺院の入り口と小さな本堂にはthatき屋根があります。後者には、庭園を眺める魅力的な丸い窓があります。

We had a wonderful day with Bell. She was knowledgeable and very helpful. We went to amazing temples, a tea house, a neighborhood shrine. We also visited the imperial palace, had a yummy lunch, walked the philosopher’s path and stopped in temples along the way. Finished our day at another fine temple and garden.

This was a fantastic experience. Kaeko was amazing, she catered for our individual choice of gardens including a late request for a change of location. We saw the quintessential Japanese gardens. She was attentive and very knowledgeable about the history and culture behind the formation of the gardens. Would highly recommend this for all garden lovers.

Shun was an excellent tour guide. He was flexible and lovely to hang out with all day. I changed the itinerary several times throughout the day and Shun was great at accommodating our every whim. He also has a great sense of humor and taught us a lot about Japanese etiquette and history. It was a relaxing experience to have someone else plan and execute your entire day every detail was thought of even down to where we should go for lunch. 100% recommend.
