He showed us everything, had everything we needed prepared, and took care of everything from A to Z. We felt completely comfortable and well cared for the entire time. Our guide was fantastic—very knowledgeable, clear, and happy to answer all of our questions throughout the tour. The food sampling was delicious, featuring local Arabic coffee, tea, fresh mint drinks, chicken shawarma, falafel, samosas, dates, luqaimat (sweet dumplings), and even Dubai chocolate! My main critique regarding the food is that dishes were simply brought out to us without explaining which restaurants or stalls they came from, making it impossible to know where we were eating or how to return on our own. Also, keep in mind that we never received the camel milk ice cream described in the tour listing. ​The Abra ride across Dubai Creek was a lovely experience. However, after crossing, we were taken to a spice shop framed as a "safe" buying spot with fixed, no-hassle prices. In reality, the prices were heavily inflated—paying over $80 USD for 3 small bags of spices felt like a total rip-off, so definitely compare prices before buying. ​Lastly, note that the tour finishes right in the middle of the Gold Souk. If you aren't great with directions or navigating busy markets, getting your bearings back to your hotel or transport at the end can be a bit tricky.
