Xavier was a great guide for this tour. Limit of 8 was great! Sure you pay extra for the small size, but you get a more personalized tour compared to the bus with 50 people. I just couldn't imagine that working! Great tour, highly recommend!
Sylvie our driver was excellent! Very engaging and sweet! Gave us a great history of the village of St Emilion and little walking tour. The host at the chateau was likewise engaging and humorous! We loved learning about what influences grapes and the wine making process.
Our Guide, Xavier was excellent. From start to finish he shared so much information with the group. From the time we left Bordeaux he starting sharing even points of interest about Bordeaux and area. When we arrived for the Saint-Emillion village visit he was quick to give us a few tips on extra highlights that are not often obvious to other tourists. The visit to the Haut Rocher winery was excellent. The tour and wine tasting were very informative. The presentation gave us some great history on the winery as well as the present day process. The tastings/pairing were very nicely presented and appreciated by all. I would highly recommended OLALA!!

The wine tour was lovely but could've been more to it. For the price and time they could've added another winery to the agenda. Enjoyed the one we visited... learned a lot from the wine maker. To add to the experience, it was supposed to include some cheese and crackers but the guide forgot. And waited till one of the group mentioned it before admitting to it. No big deal but would've been nice if she said something to the group first instead of waiting for us to ask. Or maybe offer to buy us water to compensate as it was only 3 of us. Overall a nice experience, walking through St. Emilion was magical, our guide was really knowledgeable and the whole process was easy.
Bonjour Maggie, Thanks for your feedback. When you choose a half day tour, it results impossible to include more than the Saint-Emilion medieval village + 1 winery. For people wanting to visit more Châteaux, the best format is our full day tour. Happy to know your enjoyed the one you visited. Regarding the food you're right saying we include light nibbling with the wine tasting. Sorry your guide did forget about it (she was new in the team).
My College age, daughter, and I went on this wine tour in late June. The reason we picked this particular tour is because it was half-day, and it included transportation and a stop in the village of St. Emilion. Because of the unusual heat wave, I was especially happy to have air-conditioned transportation. Our tour guide, Margaux, was very knowledgeable and her English was very good. I enjoyed the information that she shared during the ride as well as for half of our time in the village. We had another half hour to roam in the village. I wish we had more time to spend in the village, but we had to get to our wine tasting, so we only had a total of one hour. The winery tour and tasting was perfect! We were able to learn about the winemaking process in this small vineyard and the tasting was outside in the shade with beautiful views. We also had a small with the wine. I would recommend this tour 100%. 10 out of 10!

We traveled to Saint Emilion from Bordeaux in a Mercedes Van with an experienced, friendly and knowledgeable guide. On the journey, we passed through fields of vineyards and numerous chateaus before spending time in the town of Saint Emilion and Chateau Rocher.

This is a nice short tour. Mia was our guide and was fantastic. She is local to St Emilion and has a career’s worth of experiences and it shows. The whole day was great even despite the unusual heatwave and unusual amount of traffic. The only unanimous note we have for the company is that for this vehicle, this should only be a tour for 7 people not 8. The front middle seat should not have a customer in it. Otherwise, great job!

This tour was very small so you can ask the guide any questions. They take a maximum of 8 people and they have a nice office to meet at starting the tour. It was a short 1 hour drive to the winery which is a small villa in the country. The guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the grapes and wine making process. Tasting 4 different wines was a great education and the cheese and fresh bread was delicious. Highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a small group and small winery with lots of education.
