A great day visiting another famous site in Ireland despite some rain. The country is beautiful and i have never seen so many different shades of green. Need good sturdy shoes and to be aware of a steep one way circular staircase to the top of Blarney Castle but well worth the effort and a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone. The Rock of Cashel is also a fantastic site to visit. Altogether a great day out of the city

Jerry was amazing. This was one of my favorite adventures we did while in Ireland. The restaurant in cork had amazing food and the castle was amazing. The gardens were beautiful. Would recommend.

Good tour, some new things learned. The time spent in Scotland after Blarney Castle seemed a waste of time. I guess you have to eat but the city wasn’t any different than Dublin, same stores nothing special. I would have rather found a little town to wander through.

Really good tour guide, very knowledgable. Blarney was great and the grounds were just as good. Rock of Cashel was really cool and Cork was a fun city. Definitely recommend this tour.

We went on this tour guided by Kiernan! From the city we visited Rock of Cashel first. This castle was originally the seat of the kings of Munster, and according to legend St. Patrick himself came here to convert King Aenghus to Christianity. In 1101 the site was granted to the church and Cashel rose to prominence as one of the most powerful centers in the country. After we headed to Cork, Ireland’s southern capital, for some leisure time. My mom and I agreed that we would have rather skipped Cork in its entirety and had more time at Blarney. The gardens were just so extensive and I could have spent all day exploring. Cork was fine though and a nice break in the day. We had a decent amount of time at Blarney Castle, and the queue to kiss the stone wasn't the worst. Kiernan really knows his stuff and made sure we beat the crowds as best we could. It’s quite the narrow hike up, but we eventually had our turn and hung upside to kiss the stone. You have to hang upside down because of how the rock is located. I found that part quite fun. I cannot stress how expansive the grounds are. It was 60 acres in total, and we got the explore the poison garden, fern garden, and some of the lower arboretum and trails. We didn’t even touch the west or southern parts of the grounds. This was the nicest day on our trip too and I just fell in love with the area. Kiernan was quieter than some tour guides I have had, and I would have appreciated some more history or fun facts. He did play nice music though and was functioning as both the driver and guide, so I understand his need to focus on the road.

It was lovely to visit Cork again, especially Blarney Castle. The tour was enjoyable overall. The only issue was that it was difficult to hear the driver while he was speaking on the microphone. Perhaps using a lapel microphone in the future would help ensure that all tourists can clearly hear the information and commentary throughout the trip. I also felt that the time allocated at some of the stops was quite limited. A little more time to explore and enjoy the attractions would make the experience even better. Overall, it was a pleasant trip, and I would recommend it to others.

To start, our Tour Guide arrived late, but what with the horrific traffic of Dublin, I can let that slide. Secondly, I’ll point out that the seats weren’t very comfortable. I can’t speak for all buses, but this one was quite cramped and had terrible cushioning, especially for such a long day. We were supposed to have guided commentary on the bus ride itself, but we might as well have done without it, because you could barely hear the driver. The positioning of the mic was to the right side of him. The only realistic way we could hear him, was to have him turn his head directly in its direction—so either safe driving, or good audio with the possibility of a crash. But the access to the locations itself was quite good. Rock of Cashel, Blarney Castle and Cork City Centre. We were able to stroll in without much waiting, the only problem was the time allotted. Quite rushed. And the timing all relied on how quick the people on our tour got to the bus in the allotted time. If there were late comers, it affected the rest of our time slots for the other locations. And rest stops, 15 minutes is acceptable for rest stops. Plenty of time to grab a snack, coffee or use the restroom—so no issues there. As for advice, I would say to wear good walking shoes and to brace yourself for the steep and narrow stairs at Blarney Castle. Also bringing snacks is advisable if you’d like to save on food during the day, but you can find affordable options if needs be.

Great to see the Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle but would recommend spending a day or so in Cork to actually see the area. Bummer that our time there was so short. Also, while at the Blarney Castle go see the gardens and spend time wandering the rock close. It was as gorgeous and as worth your time as the castle if you love nature and unique flora!

It was a long day so be prepared not to return to Dublin until around 8pm. I also felt that there wasn’t enough time at the Blarney Castle if you actually went upstairs in the castle. Overall very enjoyable day trip we loved all the stops!
