カリ川の左岸にある川猫の記念碑、カリ川の救助とその堤防の装飾の計画の中で、その堤防の1つに記念碑的な彫刻を配置するというアイデアが生まれました。著名な画家で彫刻家のエルナンド・テハダは、高さ3.5メートル、幅3.40メートル、厚さ1.95メートルの大規模なブロンズで鋳造される「エルガトデルリオ」と呼ばれる彼の作品を寄贈しました。彫刻の重さは3トンで、ボゴタで鋳造されました。ボゴタでは、工房の屋根を解体して移動する必要がありました。作品は1996年7月3日に発足しました。
ロスカレニョスの天然温泉だった「チャルコデルブロ」と呼ばれる古い地区にあります。このアイデアは、文化的な問題について話し合い、社会的に会話するために定期的に会合した50年代半ばのlatertuliaと呼ばれるグループから生まれました。 それは現代的な構造であり、それらの前に大きな列柱がある古代ギリシャの寺院の様式化されたスケッチを作成します。

It was really great. My girlfriend and I was the only ones doing the tour that day, and Carlos was really a great guide. He told so much about the city, the people and the culture. He have been living in the city for more then 20 years, and he knew a lot about it. A really great tour and really worth it.

The tour guide Juan was very great. We were a little late in the morning as there was some traffic, but Juan still made sure we saw all the different areas of Cali. Very beautiful tour. Juan is very knowledgeable of the different areas and history of Cali / Colombia. Would highly recommend 100%.

Juan was an amazing tour guide. He picked us up from our hotel and began the tour at the cat sculpture park which was lovely. It was a very intimate tour which I loved because we weren't squished with other people on a big bumpy tour bus. Juan came with a comfortable, personal vehicle, he was a very safe driver and very knowledgeable on the Cali cultural scene. It felt like being given an expert tour by a good friend who cares about your safety and happiness. I recommend this for travelers who enjoy walking, who don't enjoy large crowds, and who want to get a good understanding of the city on their first day here.

Juan Carlos was amazing. Very personable, positive, knowledgeable and flexible. Willing to communicate in Spanish and English. Our tour was diverse and fascinating. We did a special trip off the typical tourist trail and into the barrio of Siloé. The people, street art and places we visited were beautiful and compelling. Juan Carlos also offers eco-tours to the Pacific coast, which I hope to experience next time we are in Cali.
