A Great Food Tour We've Done — 6 Stars for Rodrigo! — Award-Winning 17 Tastings Lisbon Tour We have done food tours in many cities around the world, from Italy to France to Thailand. This one — the Award Winning 17 Tastings Lisbon Food Tour in Alfama, Mouraria & Baixa organized by Oh My COD — impressed us a lot! Our guide was Rodrigo, and from the very first minute he was engaging, warm, funny, and brilliant at building camaraderie between our group. Within 10 minutes we were no longer strangers — we were friends eating together. What makes Rodrigo special is not just what he knows, but how he shares it. As he introduced the different food items — from bacalhau and fresh grilled sardines to tomato jam and ginginha — he provided not only geographical information, but history and even anecdotal information as a local that gave us a unique perspective you can't get from a guidebook. All this made it interesting and memorable, not just delicious. Rodrigo did not just give data — he allowed interchange of ideas, asked for our feedback, and was genuinely interested in our reaction. As we ate and drank the different wines, it felt like a curated pairing, each stop building on the last, making it a delightful experience rather than just 17 random bites. He also took the time to educate us using a map, showing us where the different items we were sampling came from across Portugal making it so much more meaningful. Oh My COD is lucky to have Rodrigo as one of its hosts because of his deep local knowledge and the way he engages his clients with heart, humor and authenticity. Rodrigo was a great guide. He has excellent knowledge of food, wine, history, culture, and languages. The food samolings were excellent quality and paired well with wine selections. We had a small group that made it more intimate and fun. Would give six stars if possible.

Our guide Livia was the best ever! She engaged all people and gave great information about Lisbon and its history, food, and wine regions. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Livia guiding us! Very highly recommended!!!!

The perfect way to cap out our trip to Portugal. We did the standard Lisbon food tour with Rodrigo, who was an excellent and knowledgable host, as well as relatable and easy to get along with. The food was fantastic - plentiful portions with some of the most delicious eats we had amidst our entire trip, specifically the bacalhau (cod), blood sausages + sardines, Mozambican dishes, and so much more. Loved getting to explore the various neighborhoods and learning a bit about Lisbon along the way as well. Certainly got our moneys worth and then some.

This was an absolutely fantastic food tour. Marina was our guide and she did an amazing job showing us around the city, feeding us at well-established businesses, and taking us to locations in the city we wouldn’t have gone to on our own. The food was delicious at every stop and we got a great sense of the history of the city (particularly with it being holiday season). I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a walking food tour!

This was a really enjoyable tour, with such an interesting (and delicious) range of dishes and wines. Our guide, Rodrigo, was excellent. As we travelled from one area to another, he gave us fascinating insights into the history of Lisbon and explained the different dishes we were served. His knowledge and enthusiasm really added to the experience. Highly recommended!

We took the "Oh My Cod!" Food tour around Lisbon and were so satisfied with our experience. Not only a great way to try food, but also a wonderful way to learn about a new city with the universal connector: food. The tour guides were top-notch, providing lots of information and able to answer every question we had. One of them was from Lisbon and had such great answers to our questions. Further, the style of tour was so engaging and felt so personal. We were asked "why do you think that..." instead of being told facts, and that was so fun! Not only that, but having a small group tour where everyone's needs are met (be it vegetarian, gluten free, halal, etc.) is so cool. I am a big fan of this company and would seek out other tours of theirs if I was in the area again. Can't recommend more if your goal is learning about a new place, wanting to try food, and get a truly personal-feel experience. Oh, and the tour length (4 hours) and cost were perfectly reasonable!

Everyone said this was “the best night in Lisbon!” Rodrigo was so knowledgeable and kind. My kids, husband and I all had a great time. We all learned and tried something new! Thank you so much!!!

First walking tour with Marina and Pablo of Lisbon! Incredible experience that will be a must anytime I travel. It ticked all my boxes, met friendly tourists and locals, we all got to bond over the shared cuisine, tasty variety of food and learned many things about Lisbon, its history, architecture, cuisine and people. Many laughs, smiles, nods of approval at tasty samplings. If they have other tours I would definitely do another! Highly recommend, Marina and Pablo were great tour guides who I wish all the best!
