We had a great time with our small group. Richard was our guide and was very knowledgeable about a lot of things. We learned about regional olive oil, wine and foods. Also some Perugian history of some of the buildings, what the different names of dining establishments mean. It was a beautiful day and a great time. I highly recommend it. The Black Truffle pasta was delicious.

Richard is an excellent guide-enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We walked all over old Perugia and visited some small long-established artisanal procedures from pasticcheria to truffles to chocolate to gelato with local wine and beer. A thoroughly enjoyable morning!

Our guide, Richard, is an ex-pat who has lived in Perugia for over a decade. He provided great information about the city, region and food. Tastings were excellent (the chocolate was my favorite). Fun way to explore a new city. Tip- don’t cut the pasta. Swirl it on your fork. Trust us- we learned the hard way. 😂

We strongly recommend this food tour if you 1. like trying different foods 2. like learning about food histories. We visited small shops and cafes, we wouldn't have found on our own. Pietrina was friendly, patient and very knowledgeable about the food but also Perugian history.
