コルコバード山とパイネイラスルートを通る救世主キリスト像を訪問します。像のふもとまで車で20分で、チジュカの森を通り抜け、前方の風景をプレビューできます。像の高さは710 mで、この見晴らしの良い場所からは、市街の景色を一望できます。
山の頂上へのケーブルカーの乗車は、2つの段階で行われます。搭乗駅から出発してウルカ山（224メートル）に行き、次にウルカ山からシュガーローフマウンテンの頂上（395メートル）に行きます。
シュガーローフへの第一歩。
シュガーローフ マウンテンとウルカ マウンテンの間に位置するプライア ヴェルメーリャは魅力的な場所です。

Pros: you could see a lot and it is well organized in terms of optimizing viewing times at Sugar Loaf and Christ Redeemer. Cons: Tour leader imposed a random and unfair policy not used in ANY other tour bus that passengers must remain in the seats they got upon boarding for the first time. This policy is not stated anywhere and is unfair for those who are picked up last through no choice of their own. The policy would make sense if all seats were the same, but they are not. Some are scrunched and all the way in the back, some are 3-seaters, some are two-seaters and some are single. Some have very obstructed view. There is no fairness or logic for those who are last collected from hotel to be forever condemned to the worst seats. We did not pay any less than other passengers who through chance got collected first. This is a nonsensical and unfair approach. Lunch is at a mediocre cafeteria after which I got food poisoning. Price would be right if the operation wasn't unreasonable about the ridiculous bus seating policy and lunch were higher end.
Great day out - covers all major sights - would highly recommend
Thoroughly enjoyed our day visiting the highlights of Rio. Delicious buffet lunch (included in price) which had excellent vegan options. Monica our guide was fantastic. Her knowledge and spontaneity introduced us to Brazilian history and life in Rio. Perfect Day 1 of our holiday here!
Had a wonderful experience with Monica and Bruno! Monica did a masterful job giving context for all the history behind the city, Christ the redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Not only was she knowledgeable, she made sure our group stuck together and got great photos and opportunity to enjoy our experience! Highly recommend!

Sugarloaf was a pleasant experience whilst the Christ the Redeemer site needs some serious crowd control. One the the most congested tourist sites I’ve been to!
