Nicely received by our Dutch-speaking guide Boukje. With 8 participants, it was necessary to check if everyone was at the intersections, but this was indicated well in advance by the guide. So don't worry. Driving in Berlin wasn't really in the very center and actually never dangerous, but driving in succession is the message. Yes, we would still do it.

Interesting and certainly non-standard bike tour through Berlin. The route showed sides of the city that you probably wouldn't encounter during a normal sightseeing tour, and that made the tour absolutely worthwhile. Our guide may not have had her best day, but she visibly tried incredibly hard to make it a good and informative tour. That wasn't the issue for us either. What unfortunately significantly affected the quality of the tour was the composition of the group. We were with nine people, including two primary school-aged children for whom this hike was clearly too strenuous. In addition, there were some participants with little cycling experience. Because of this, there had to be regular waiting and a lot of attention was paid to keeping and guiding the group. That ultimately received too much emphasis. Too bad, the content and the chosen route were interesting enough. Later I even noticed that I could hardly remember the different photo and intermediate stops well anymore, because so much attention had been paid to the progress of the group. My advice to the organization would therefore be to state more clearly in advance that some cycling experience and reasonable fitness are necessary and that this tour is less suitable for young children. With a slightly more equal group, this probably would have been a much better experience.

As regards the composition of groups on our public guided tours, we have only limited influence over age and cycling ability. Particularly when families are cycling with us, it is naturally primarily up to the children’s parents to assess their cycling abilities. We here on site can help by organising several families with children into a single group with one guide, knowing that they will be travelling at a slightly slower pace. However, if, as in your case, only one family has booked the tour, it is unfortunately not possible to ‘separate’ the group. We hope that our explanation makes the situation a little clearer, and we’d like to thank you once again for your honest feedback and understanding. Our guide Elisa was knowledgeable and always open to questions. Having spent time in the history centre of Mitte the day prior, it was nice to explore the other parts of the city. She took us to view a lot of street art, displaying Berlin’s long time rebellious vibe that has continued beyond the WW eras. Got a good sense of the city peddling through on bikes. Really enjoyed the last 30 minutes especially, a great bike run back to the site; seeing a stretch of the Berlin Wall while riding amongst locals on a busy street up against the sun. Good workout for the day. Thanks to Elisa and the team.

A fantastic way to discover the lesser-known Berlin. Oleg shared his knowledge and love for Berlin and made the tour very enjoyable. The best part was undoubtedly cycling through the airport that was used to supply food to West Berlin in the post-war period.
