Marco was amazing! He was very professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. We started by getting a transfer from our cruise to the Vatican, where we did a private tour. After we finished, Marco spent the next couple hours showing us some of the iconic sights of the city while giving explanations along the way! We highly recommend Marco to anyone visiting Rome! Thank you Marco for an unforgettable experience!
Marco did an amazing job! He was so knowledgeable about the city and procedures for entering museums. I would 10/10 book again!
Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a real pleasure meeting you and showing you around the city. I'm so glad you enjoyed the experience and found the information helpful. Thank you for choosing to tour with me, and I hope to see you again someday. Safe travels! Karolina Discovery Tours
Marco picked us up, and took us to a beautiful spot for pictures 📸 then we headed to our Vatican tour. Our guide was cool 😎 and gave us a great experience. We had a wonderful lunch, at a local restaurant 😋 and Marco picked us up again. He was a perfect gentleman and made our journey super enjoyable.

We had a wonderful day in Rome. Our guide, Gilberto was great! The Pope was driving around Rome that day and we saw him pass by. We saw way more in Rome than I thought possible. Gilberto took us to 200 Degrees for a great sandwich and made sure we went to an authentic gelato shop. We didn't need a guide for most of the day but it would have been nice to have one for the Vatican! Highly recommend this company. They were great to work with and did an excellent job!

A full day of sightseeing with Marco. He made it possible to see many highlights as well as entering the Coliseum, the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. Thank you for a wonderful day Marco.

My family and I were on an extended cruise with stops in Livorno (VIP Tour Florence/Pisa) and Civitavecchia (Rome/Vatican). We booked our VIP excursions through Discovery Guided Tours and we were extremely happy with our tours. First stop was Livorno. Our driver, Sabrina, was an absolute GEM! I would highly recommend her to anyone. She was full of information and wonderful. She stopped along the way to allow us to take pictures of the countryside, since we were on our own private excursion. In Florence we met with our tour guide, Francesca, who was fantastic in her own right. She was extremely knowledgeable and was very patient and kind with our inquisitive boys (10 & 7). Our next stop on our cruise was Civitavecchia (VIP Tour Rome/Vatican), where we met with our driver, Gilberto. He was also a wonderful driver who filled us in on the history of the port, the drive into Rome. There we met our guide, Pelin, who was tasked with giving us thousands of years of history in a short time. She did an excellent job of it by providing insight into the Coliseum, the rich history of Rome and then, of course, the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel. An amazing lesson in history!
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback — it truly means the world to us. We’re delighted to know you had such a great experience, and it makes us so happy that your days with us were memorable. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s ever anything we can do for you in the future. It would be our absolute pleasure to assist you again. With gratitude, Giulia
Marco met us right off the ramp off the cruise ship and made us fall in love with Rome and Italy over the next 7 hours. Can’t wait to be back and we’ll for sure book with Discovery Tours again. We saw the old city and the square of the Vatican. We had time to absorb and didn’t feel rushed one bit. We also had time for a gelato at one spot and a quick bite at another and lots of pictures in between. Marco was so knowledgeable and we really enjoyed ourselves. Marco then took a scenic route back to the ship and conveniently dropped us off right where he picked us up. This was our favourite excursion out of all the ports we’ve visited.
Hi there! Thank You so much for your review! I will be sure to forward your feedback to Marco! Thank You so much for choosing our Company. Hope to see you again in the near future! All the best, Giulia
Giulia and Karolina were super patient with all my questions and request changes. My Friends and I used the Company, Discovery Tours, in 2024 and were so satisfied my other friend and I used them in again in 2025 .
Why thank you so much for your feedback! We are so happy you chose us again for your 2025 trip to Italy! Hope to see you again real soon! If there is ever anything we can do for you, you know where to find us. We'll be happy to help. ALL THE BEST!
Discovery Tours was AMAZING! I booked 4 transfers, to and from airport to Rome, Hotel to pier as well as 2 sightseeing tours from La Spezia and Civitavecchia. I was especially impressed when I contacted Discovery Tours with 2 days notice about adding a tour in La Spezia after my cruise ship canceled a planned excursion. Within 2 hours a wonderful tour of Luca was offered with an outstanding guide. The office , Giulia and Karolina are extremely responsive, knowledgeable and wonderful to plan with. All of our special requests were perfectly executed. The office provides the WhatsApp phone number for the drivers so communication is stress free. All of our drivers were always on time if not early, spoke English well and were very kind and knowledgeable of the cities we visited and the history of the area. The drivers , in addition, suggested wonderful local restaurants for lunches. Can't thank them enough for professional, stress-free service. Absolutely excellent!
Buonasera! You are so kind to leave us this review! Thank You so much for choosing us. We are so happy we were able to give you a great, stress free, experience. We do hope to have the possibility of arranging our services again in the near future. Wishing you the best!
