Great way to explore a little bit of Marseilles and eat the local food and kill some time while at port

This food tour was very disappointing, especially given the price (about $150 USD). The guide was good, but not so much the food. There were two stops with cheese, one with aioli, crackers and chickpea flour “bread,” and two dessert stops. Very mediocre and not worth the price.

This isn’t a negative review per se. Just compared to other food tours and experiences we’ve had in other cities and countries it has room for improvement. First; the tour operator didn’t respond to our messages and questions either on the TA app or WhatsApp to ask and confirm timing and logistics for meeting. The guide was good and had nice knowledge. We felt the cost was a bit high for the time and amount of food/drink compared to others we’ve done. So, perhaps this is just a local market condition? Again, not poor, just ok.

We took a walking tour through picturesque Marseille and stopped to sample so many delicious treats. Inge, our guide, was absolutely delightful, entertaining, and knowledgeable. We ( people) highly recommend!
