Luigi said he was not a tour guide just our driver but his knowledge of Pisa and Lucca was just as good as any tour guide we have had this trip. He made the hour drive to. Pisa from Florence very enjoyable and finished the trip with a stop at the Piazza Michael Angelo which was awesome views

The guide was friendly, and informative. I did however expect a little more of a "guide", in the area. He was great at telling us history on the way there and back but felt it was a little expensive for just the ride and some history.

Adding a professional guide at each stop would significantly increase the cost, often close to double. I also believe the pricing is fair for the service provided a private, full-day experience with door-to-door transportation in a luxury vehicle. For comparison, taking taxis for an entire day between Florence, Pisa, and Lucca would typically cost even more, without the same level of comfort, planning, and flexibility. We had an excellent day trip from Florence to Pisa and Lucca. Gino, our driver, was personable, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to make our day perfect. He picked us up near our apartment in Florence and dropped us off in Pisa incredibly close to the sites we wanted to visit. We saw everything we wanted to see there, and then texted Gino and minutes later we went onto Lucca for an incredible lunch at a restaurant Gino recommended. It ended up being our favorite meal of our Italy trip! Then we strolled around the lovely, small, and less crowded city. We were even able to add an additional stop at a nearby villa of special interest for an additional fee. It was everything we wanted from the day trip and Gino made it easy and almost effortless. We’ve done other group tours and the splurge for the private tour was well worth the extra cost. Highly recommend this one!

Luigi was our driver for our day to Pisa and Luca. He was informative on the way, which we appreciated. We spent a short time in Pisa just to see the tower and take pictures. We went to a cafe that had a nice view and had coffee. It was nice. Pisa and Lucca did not disappoint and Luigi recommended a restaurant in Lucca for lunch that was very good. We did climb the stairs to the highest point in Lucca and it was great!! So do that when you’re there.

Gino met us right in front of our Airbnb a few minutes before the appointed time. Very kind and professional, and engaged us in lively and informative conversation throughout the drive. He let us guide the conversation, not speaking constantly, but allowing us to enjoy the view and chiming in with interesting facts and answering any questions we had. This is truly a customizable tour; he drove us right up to the piazza where the leaning tower is and we told him how long we wanted to spend there before returning to the car (a very comfortable, A/C'd Mercedes SUV. We then continued on to the lovely little city of Lucca, where he gave us suggestions of good restaurants for lunch, and other sights we may want to see, even texted (WhatsApp) directions to the recommended restaurant locations. We had a nice meal, then walked around the city, and we highly recommend walking the lovely path atop the city's wall (about 2 miles, but you can stop and turn around wherever you wish). Gorgeous trees and view on the paved path, where people both walk and ride bicycles, and sit on benches off to the side and peoplewatch. Reminded me a bit of Central Park in the spring, and the weather was beautifully sunny, breezy, and it was so relaxing. We then walked back to a main piazza and enjoyed a sit-down gelato and an espresso, and returned to meet our driver Gino at the appointed time (we spent about 2.5 hours there, as our departure time was finite to end the tour on time back in Florence). The drive back was just a scenic and enjoyable, and we would ride again with Gino anytime. We understand there are other driving tours to Sienna and San Gimignano - perhaps next time! Thank you for the perfect experience!!
