After several trips booked with Viator and we’ve always been pleased this has to be the most disappointing
Considering it’s a half day trip we had to walk 20 mins to pick up the coach so lost half an hour before we even started
Once we got to Aveiro we had just 15 minutes before the boat trip which just gave time to go to the bathroom Absolutely no time to look around Aveiro
Once the boat trip ended we went to sample a local sweet treat before having to get on the coach again
Once we got to Porto Nova again only a 20min stop and again if anyone needed the bathroom had to use that time Again no real time to look anywhere
Very disappointing trip
We booked an English speaking trip but had to share with Spanish group too

Your comments about the short stops and the time needed for bathroom breaks are completely understandable.

Nice half day
Lovely half day trip to small fishing town. Great art nouveau architecture. Guide was very knowledgeable. Cost Nova is a beach town with interesting cottages

Not what I expected and wouldn't recommend
To be honest, I found this trip disappointing. I would say to a friend, only do it if you have done everything else you want to do in Porto.
Aviero waterways were basically a ‘T’ shape and you went up and down each side, mostly bordered by a main road. The most picturesque length took you through the town for 10 minutes to turn round at an old factory and new multi-story hotel. Not at all what I’d expected.
Our driver Manuel, was very knowledgeable and was interesting to listen to, but clearly loved using his hands to explain things and didn’t let the fact he was driving (at speed) stop him. We both felt the drive was rather alarming – not necessarily unsafe, but perhaps how you would drive yourself and not on an organized trip.

Best half day tour for Aveiro and Costa Nova
We had a wonderful experience exploring Aveiro and Costa Nova with Rita as our tour guide. She explained everything very clearly and shared interesting details throughout the tour. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive, making the entire experience enjoyable and comfortable. Rita did a fantastic job guiding us, and we truly appreciated her effort and enthusiasm. Trip to Aveiro and Costa Nova
Rita and Lucas were wonderful guides, and very knowledgeable. We had a great time, and Aveiro Costa Nova were beautiful. The coach van was very nice and comfortable.

A truly heartfelt tour
We had the most incredible time with Rita and Lucas! We learned the history of Aveiro on our journey to the town, seeing the football stadium from one of the world cups. Upon our arrival we were swept off on the boat ride with Dora and Captain Elsa who provided a multi language tour and party along the water! Dora was a character, she loves her job and truly found the perfect fit! We then were able to walk around Aveiro before making our way to Costa Nova, the beautiful fishing town with the striped buildings. Rita found the perfect spot by the houses to take photos for anyone who wanted them. We then popped over to the fish market, wishing we were staying local so we could take some home with us. You can tell how much Rita loves Portugal and all it offers. When she asks you to come back and visit you feel as though you're being invited by a close friend. We loved our time and are very grateful for such a beautiful view of Aveiro and Costa Nova!

Fantastic half day tour to Alveiro and Costa Nova
I loved both Rita and the main guide on the gondola who spoke lots of languages. She’s very funny.. I had a fantastic half day out.
