The guide, Pedro, was excellent. Arrived on time at the hotel, very polite, considerate and kind. Also extremely knowledgeable. Lunch at the restaurant was also very good. All in all, well worth the cost

This was our second of three tours with Pedro. Picked up outside our apartment, we drove to Santa Maria da Feira, with its picturesque, almost Disney-style castle, then to little café for a coffee and to taste ‘Fogaça’- one of the many tasty pastries of Portugal which has an impressive history of 500 years. This ritual is Pedro’s ‘signature start’ to every tour! The next stop was in the ‘Venice of Portugal’– Aviero, a cruise around their canal system, after which there was another of round of Portugal’s sweets, the ‘Ovos Moles’, before a drive around Ria de Aveiro to view the habitat of the vast variety of wildlife of the region. A visit to Costa Nova beach, with its colourfully painted fishermen’s cottages along the beachfront, was followed by a substantial lunch. This ‘restaurant ritual ‘is a great feature of Pedro’s tours, and one we can highly recommend – good conversation oiled by Portuguese wines! For lovers of fine porcelain, the last stop took us to the famous Lugar da Vista Alegre, the Chapel, the Museum, with a walk through the production line, before being tempted in their show room. This is a very relaxed tour, lots of sunshine, fresh air and wind in the hair. It was easy to doze off on the drive back to Porto! Susan & Graeme 5*

Great tour. Wasn't sure what to expect as this was our first tour just after arriving in Portugal. We could not have felt more at home and comfortable with our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and easy going. The tour was done at our pace without any feelings of being rushed.

To learn about another culture from a local is an enriching experience. Pedro shares Portugal in his own unique way, through food and stories. We had rich conversation and learned about our culture influenced Portuguese history. With every stop, we experienced Portugal through Pedro's excitement about sharing his culture. We would definitely spend another day with Pedro.

Pedro is a wonderful and very knowledgeable guide. We had an amazing day with a delicious lunch. This is a must-do trip.

Highly recommend this tour, a true learning experience of the area with milti-language guide who is willing to answer evetthing question and take pictures. Tasty lunch too.

Aveiro is a lovely town. Pedro came with us everywhere but made sure we had local guides to get all the information, on the moliceiro cruise, Aveiro city tour and at the salt flats, although I think Pedro knew just as must or more. Pedro is well versed in all the attractions and his tour was well planned out. We weren't rushed anywhere and when he saw we were interested in something, he allowed us time to look. Lunch was fabulous. He asked if we would like to order or if he should order for us. We let him order after finding out what we liked and if we had allergies, I'm glad we did. It was delicious and local. We had such a wonderful time with Pedro we booked two more day trips with him, Minho and the Douro Valley. He is attentive to detail, a good driver, knowledgeable, kind and funny. We forgot he was our tour guide and thought we were out with a friend. Thank you!

From the departure Pedro could surprise us by his cordial meeting and the choice to communicate together in French. At a leisurely pace we drove our tour with the nice comfortable Mercedes. Our excursion went to Aveiro with surprising stops along the way with guided visits. We drove for quite some time through the green surroundings Porto. During the first stop in Feira Pedro told us the origin of the local sandwich we tasted in a cozy pastelleria. In Aveiro we changed into a Molliceiro. We crossed the city through the various channels and the guide showed us beautiful buildings on the bank. We switched to the tuc tuc afterwards. The driver literally had to squeeze through the narrow streets to reach the station. It paid off to admire the still very wondrous Azulejo facade of Naveire. Before we drove out of Aveire we tasted another port with oves moles. Pedro had already asked us about the preference of lunch. In one of his preferred restaurants we could get to know Bageljau in the most diverse preparations. A little later he took us to the ‘Vista Alegre porcelain museum’. The former factory and housing of the factory workers including a chapel were housed in the domain. A local guide was also there who explained all the beauty. Among other things, a lot of inlay work in the wall decoration. We drove as far as Costa Nova. The tight North Wind played us so we could not enjoy the beautiful stretched beach for long. We stopped on the way back at the salt pan beach. The wind was even tighter but we learned what the Marenoto was all about to get a pure “fleur de sel” on your plate. Thank you Pedro for this cozy warm very interesting and pleasant day. Highly recommended for anyone staying a few days in Porto.
