The actual visit to the Pyramids was excellent. Our guide was very good and knowledgeable. The journey from Alexandria is about 3 hrs., we had a private tour, our driver did not speak English, makes the drive a bit long. Of course there are many people at the Pyramid site but our guide knew where to take us to avoid crowds. We had the obligatory camel ride, that was fun but the vendor got a bit aggressive as far as a tip at the end of the ride until our guide straightened him out. One thing to watch out for is the trip to the "parchment" shop at the end of the tour where you are supposedly going to see how parchment was made in early times, its really a catch to try an sell you a parchment, the vendor gets a bit pushy until we just up and left. In all a good trip with a few aggravations. Be ready to do quite a bit of walking.
