Great tour guide! We booked last minute due to our original tour being cancelled. We got a private tour and were able to take a very scenic route to the ruins! Had a great time and learned so much!

Had an absolutely amazing 4 hours with Waynie. Great communication before and during the tour. Picked up outside the cruise terminal in belize and taken to the site (about 70 mins away). Waynie gave lots of details and information about the country and places on the ride. Quick access to the site, Waynie was so knowledgeable and talked us through the displays and information in the Mayan museum, then took us around the site and took photos/videos, we were on site for about 90 minutes before returning to tbe port terminal. Take Mozzie spray as needed. Thanks Waynie...an amazing 4 hours

Albert was a an amazing tour guide! He had such knowledge of every area that we passed and a phenomenal understanding of the history. He brought the stories to life.

I will start with saying the Altun Ha temples are worth a visit. Visited off a cruise ship. However, my family of 5 paid $425 + $50 entrance fees for what boils down to a taxi ride and 5-10 min verbal introduction to the temples. Meeting was fine. The drive out/back about an hour. The driver shared a lot about Belize. All good. I missed the tour fine print and then had to pay $10 USD per person for entry ($50 USD). Went downhill from there. Walking in I was thinking "well, what the heck did I pay $425USD for if entry isn't even covered." Then I realized most of the groups were large cruise ship tours...some were small groups with private guides, OK, paying for the personal tour guide... Nope. The Driver / "tour guide" walked us in. Talked for like 5-10 minutes max, said he had to leave to do "paperwork." We then wandered aimlessly taking some great photos...but not really understanding what was what. In fact, some OTHER private tour guides gave us some information and took pictures of us an a family. In the end, I wonder how much a taxi would have been. Or just a cruise excursion, which was A BIT more money per person, but I think included more, and maybe food. For comparison, we got a private guide through Tripadvisor in Cozumel; we saw 2-3 sites, all site fees included, had lunch, and snorkeled...all for about the same amount of money. It was great and worth it. Bottom line: recommend looking at OTHER OPTIONS to see the site!!

Excellent experience on the Altun-Ha Heritage Tour! The guides were very professional, knowledgeable, and informative throughout the entire tour. They made the history and culture come alive, resulting in a great experience. Highly recommend!

This trip was very good I enjoyed a private quiet visit to the site. Of course comfortable shoes a must and hydrate, our driver was very patient and knowledgeable, he brought the story telling to life.
