Jose Tours was excellent. He met us at the tender dock number two. The tour vehicle was in excellent condition and with air conditioning working well. Jose gave us much information about Belize and we stoped at a road vender for a mango. At Altun Ha Maya Ruin he bought our admission band. We explored the Ruin. Two of us were in our 70s and two in their 40s he addressed the difference in age by a giving each age group a sl different tour. On way back to ship we stoped at restaurant and had local chicken and rice(great).had a tour of Belize city and tasted local cashew nuts.

Our family (13 to 65 years old) really enjoyed the excursion. It took a little over an hour to get to Altun Ha. . There were road works so it was slow going, but it was great to see the scenery on the way. Altun Ha was really interesting and Jose gave us a little tour with insights into the ruins and Mayan culture. Because of a knee injury we rented a collapsible wheelchair from the cruise ship. Altun Ha was really accessible (if someone is willing to push) because it’s compact and flat. The younger and more able were able to climb up the ruins which was exciting for them. On the way back to Belize City, we stopped at a traditional restaurant and had a great meal of chicken rice and beans. Jose also stopped by the road to buy some bananas to let us try. On the way back to the port, we drove through the city centre and Jose pointed out the interesting colonial buildings. All in all a great half day out.

This excursion was by far my favorite excursion. Ever since I wanted to go to Belize, I've wanted to go to the Mayan Ruins. And this excursion made me so happy! We climbed up the stairs of the tallest ruin temple in Altun Ha. It was so much fun, exactly what I wanted to do, we learned so much about the Mayans of that time and their culture. The ruins were beautiful. The view from the top was great. And we hiked it on a day where it was between 95-100 degrees outside with 100% humidity! We still had a great time. The lunch was so good shoutout to the chef lady there. The gifts at the shops were handmade and so beautiful! Definitely think of getting any souvenirs from this excursion and this site. It's unforgettable.

Doesn't seem like there is an overwhelming amount of activities here to do, maybe there is and I don't know about them. But for what this one does, and what you get, and I like the guide and driver, same person but entertaining. So yeah, I think it was good

Great private tour with only 2 couples. Very timely in picking us up from the cruise terminal. Very knowledgeable about the Altun Ha Mayan Ruins. Icing on the cake was a great lunch of chicken, rice and beans.

We had a private tour with Jose today. He picked us up at the pier. Went to the Altun Ha ruin He explained it all to us. Then we drove around the city. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

We had an amazing experience. Our tour, guide, Jeffrey was knowledgeable about the culture and history of Belize. He made it fun! This particular tour was 4-5 hours which included the ruins, lunch, and the city. It was not too exhausting like the all day tours. It was perfect for us. Thank you for a memorable experience.

Great tour we got to see and learn about the history of Altun Ha Temple and we got some authentic Belizean Food it was delicious!!! Also got to try the Belkin beer! Jose took good care of us!
