Good food and plenty of fun
We did the street food tour by jeep and had the best experience! Our guide, Kimmy, was absolutely fantastic and made the whole tour so much fun from start to finish.
We got to try such a great variety of local foods, but the highlight for me was definitely the noodles and soup – they were incredible! 🍜
Kimmy and our driver took us to parts of the city we never would have found on our own, which made the experience feel really special and authentic. The flower market was also a real standout – it was stunning, with so many different types of flowers and such a vibrant atmosphere 🌸
I would 100% recommend Kimmy as a guide and this tour to anyone visiting – it’s a brilliant way to see the city and experience the food and culture.

Motor Scooter Street Food Tour Saigon
What a wonderful experience scrambling through the streets of Ho Chi Min on the back of a motor scooter sampling the best of the city’s street food. Our tour leaders, Uni Students Khao and Khai, knew every back street and took us to places most tourists would never go. They were fun, funny and very knowledgeable as well as being excellent riders in the manic traffic. We sampled Saigon Pancake with a pile of greens which came with a tasting and identification game with Khao and Khai. From there a banana fritter with caramel sauce then the famous Bahn Mi experience from an old lady who cooks tasty meatballs over charcoal while her son loads the super crispy roll with pate and greens. Apparently we were very lucky to experience this because she only works when she feels like it and sells out in minutes. Next a cultural visit to the oldest neighbourhood in Saigon followed by delicious pho and then potato puffs and grilled chicken.
Finally a walk through the flower and food market before we were taken back to our hotel. I highly recommend this tour as a fun and tasty way to explore Vietnam’s biggest city.
