Understand the birthplace of democracy with a local expert..
After a very delicious Alternative Athens food tour - we decided to go on the Democracy tour - the next day after we had recovered from the food coma. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to see the Acropolis and Agora. I have been there twice before but this time was by far the best visit. We were lucky that it was just the two of us and our excellent guide - Alex - as there were some last minute cancellations. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, overheated and exhausted, we felt so satisfied by our very enjoyable and educational tour where we learnt a lot about not only Greek history but about democracy itself.

Acropolis & Ancient Roman Agora tour
We spent the morning touring and learning from our fantastic guide Athena. I am still amazed how easy she made the hike up the Acropolis seem. Her stories were engaging and complete; very easily understood. We learned about the lives of the gods and their fantastical myths and how present day Greece came to be. Somehow she found a shady spot to have our discussions at each point of the tour. Everyone should have a tour guide as experienced as Athena!

Great overview of philosophy, democracy, government
If you like philosophy, government, and theology (St Paul), this is a great tour. We did it with a 12 year old so the time was just right for us. Extremely helpful with my additional ticket online purchase and very responsive to messaging (with questions).

Great tour guide. Only 3 hours
Tour guide was knowledgeable. Did not use headsets🙂 She walked slowly and genuinely made you feel a part of history and mythology.

We recommend this organism and its guides, with small groups, excellent Mood
Small group of 13 people around our historian guide, unique experience of 4 hours from Hadrian's Arch through the Parthenon to the Agora. We begin at the origin of the world until today, friendly and accessible immersion in Greek mythology.

A great perspective about the Acropolis and the Agora
A great tour of the Acropolis and Agora that integrated mythology, archeology, and history regarding Athenian democracy. The guide was very knowledgeable, good-natured, and great at adapting to the different types of people in the small group. If the tour were a bit longer that would have enabled the guide to go into a little more depth, show more of the Acropolis, and discuss the fall of democracy, as advertised in the tour description.
