Our guide was Ben who was extremely knowledgeable about history and local lore. We especially appreciated his gentle delivery and his response to the many, many questions we had. Also loved his music choices!!! And we learned about detectoring!!! Fascinating!! We had confidence in his driving skills which was a plus on the cliff side roads and single lanes.

Visiting from Canada, truly an incredible day trip, and lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day! Our driver/guide Martin was friendly and very knowledgeable, with a great sense of humour. Highly recommend to anyone visiting wanting to visit the Northern most point on the Scottish mainland! Next trip to Scotland I will definitely be booking one of their other tours!🇨🇦❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This was our second tour (of three) with this company and I highly recommend them. Our driver/guide for this one was Ben, who was excellent. He grew up in this area and even pointed out his childhood neighbourhood and homes of relatives. We stopped briefly at Dornach, a lovely village with some nice shops and a beautiful Church. Dunrobin Castle is fascinating. We really enjoyed the demonstration of falconry led by falconer Andy in the garden. If your schedule allows for this, it is worth it. (We only had time for about half of it). Note that dogs are not allowed in the castle or near the falconry area. We found John O'Graots to be a bit of an anticlimax with not much to do once you take the obligatory picture by the famous mileage sign. Happily, Ben added in a trip to the nearby Sea Stacks, which look like hoods dropped into the ocean. A long day with return to Inverness at 7:30 p.m.

Amazing day filled with history and beautiful scenery. Our tour guide Martin was excellent. He was very informative, with a fun sense of humor. Long day, but plenty of stretch breaks. Highly recommend this tour.

This day tour with Timberbush guide Ben and driver Caz was a great day out. Ben was extremely knowledgeable and kept us well informed about our destinations. Dunrobin Castle was spectacular and John o Groats was a fulfillment of a bucket list destination. Visiting the Emigrants Statue brought home the dreadful truth about the Highland Clearances. My only criticism was that some of the additional stops were rather rushed, not allowing us much time to see places. However I appreciate that Timberbush want us to make the most of our day and see as much as possible. In all a great day. Thank you Timberbush, Ben and Caz.

Ben is a great personality and more than competent, beyond his years, to lead this tour. I have therefore given the tour maximum points. His use of English was exceptional and refreshing. He used adjectives to describe what we were seeing rather than relying on childish words such as 'Super' and 'Like' . Well done Ben! The tour was without incident save one customer constantly complaining it was too hot on the bus (it wasn't - on the contrary it was cool) - he was a larger gentlemen and clearly out of condition. Ben found a solution and I commend him for avoiding a possible incident.

I booked this tour only because it went to Dunrobin Castle, the rest I just let myself be surprised. And what a surprise. We were at the castle for about an hour and a half since from the beginning the guides committed to making the first stops a little shorter so we could spend more time at the castle. The rest of the stops had perfect timing, it was enough time to explore the spot, go to the bathroom, and get back on the bus. The guides Ben and Kat (Cas? I apologize, I didn't quite hear her name) were excellent. I love hearing about history and I know it's difficult to narrate it without it seeming dense, but Ben managed to make it super fluid and interesting throughout the entire trip.

Lots of time on the small bus, but wonderful scenery and well-paced stops for photos, walking, sights, food and toilets.

We booked this tour months in advance as we began planning in Nov of '25 for a Scotland trip in Sept of '26. We are 3 mature ladies who often travel together and enjoy similar outings. We picked this particular tour for the itinerary and the small group aspect (max of 16) -there were 14 on our tour. We have found in our many trips together that small group tours like Timberbush offers are more flexible and we find it easy to visit with other passengers..Brendan is an excellent guide, offering interesting information and historical context but not overburdening us with so much that we tune out.. He gave us a good balance... with an occasional bit of humor and fun, a genuine friendliness that immediate puts you at ease.. He is very knowledgeable about the area and pointed out various unique features along the way, even made an extra stop or two for picture taking. I won't give away his surprises, but we enjoyed his insights & stories as well as answering every question..I must say also, he is an excellent driver.. It was a long day, 11hrs but we saw a lot and had a great time! Timberbush, you have a gem!! Thank you, Brendan..

I loved Dunrobin Castle and the adorable town of Dornoch. Unfortunately we had drenching rain for most of the afternoon, so the scenery stops were difficult to appreciate. Perhaps Castle of Mey could be included? There really wasn’t anything to see at John O’Groats and I would think there could be a more atmospheric place for lunch. Fiona was a great guide but I just felt that there could have been better stops.
