Bought tickets months before and 10th in queue but best seats already taken.
I have lived or visited cadiz for over 20 years. Mainly in Jerez de la frontera home of sherry and the authentic flamenco.
Tickets! I bought them from their own online website via harbour months earlier. This did not include a seat number. Ok first come first serve I thought. We were very early and waited our turn in the queue as instructed on the night. People before us were putting scarves coats on seats before we got in. We were about 10 in the queue and 20 were already seated… Clearly there is not a come first seating arrangement.
We were about 10th in the queue but people had scarves etc over seats. SO BEWARE !
10th in queue and no option to sit on a spare seat.
However the performance is very well polished and dispute poor seats enjoyed. But I’d choose a different place with a seat number.
I spent over 20 years living or visiting in jerez home of flamenco and sherry. The flamenco here is completely the opposite much more passion and force. It’s like a ballet vs strength. Like the royal horse school vs the yeguda in jerez .
Due to the seating arrangement I would not go back but look for a different venue. 48 euros for 2 was not a price the sndalucians would pay. You must also look at the authentic Jerezano flamenco. In my opinion the best.

It's really difficult to answer you (maybe as a conversation between a Royal Horse and a Yegua of Jerez).
Here, in Casa de la Memoria, the Flamenco Cultural Center, we offer the most authentic Flamenco Show. We focus in the quality of the most purest Traditional Flamenco, not only the one of Jerez, were the sherry/wine service is an important part of the experience. In our alcohol-free show (sorry for someones), acts 1st National Awards of Flamenco dance, sing and guitar, here we have also a lot of local visitors and artists from Jerez, as Gema Moneo, Manuel de la Nina or Quini de Jerez. You should know them. They call our Center "the House of Flamenco Art where every artist wants to perform". There are also artists from the Flamenco Ballet. Also teachers of the Flamenco Conservatory carreer...
We can understand that you felt bad about the situation of people keeping seats for friends or family (does it happens everywere? probably yes), but we have almost 40/45 seats just in front of the stage, in only 2 rows. And the other seats are also at 2-3 meters far from the stage... No columns, no tables, no 11th row at 10 meters from the stage, no waiters passing, kitchen noise, etc.
Just the purest Traditional Flamenco Show. Jerez citizens say, Sevillian citizens say, artists from everywhere say. People that were born, have lived or visited Cadiz and Sevilla for more than those 20 years. And people that knows Flamenco is much more than just Jerez Flamenco&Wine experience. Open mind for better and diferent experiences gives you knowledge, something to compare and kills ignorance.
Thanks for coming anyway

Horribly uncomfortable due to extreme heat in theatre
Extremely hot in theatre! Hard to see dancers feet from our seats. Mirror behind them would have helped. Something in English, brief explanation or a program would have been invaluable to understand the significance of each dance. Would not recommend

Hi Elke and readers,
Our apologies about the air conditioning. Now this issue is fixed. Sevilla is very hot in summer and some experiences require a bit resistance to elements, like just walk on the streets.
About mirrors in the theatre (inside a 16th Century House Palace) or something in English, an explanation (only in english? Not in french, german, italian...), etc... Ours is a Traditional Flamenco Center, very intimate and artists improvise a lot during the shows, that's the "Duende" of our shows, so there is no fix program where the artists do the same every show. Our show is different and unique. Some people also ask if the singers don't sing in english... That's an incredibly common question, but singers introduce lyrics and poems while singing just depending of the style and the dancers, following the rythm and not knowing what they are going to sing or do until just some minutes before the starting time. What an unique experience!!
If someone worried about the air conditioning, sorry, the issue is solved at the moment, but an installation inside a 500 years palace building is complicated. We have cold water, give beautiful fans to everybody and have air conditioning working as best as possible. After the show there are some modern bars in the area where you can try a fresh gin-tonic with a new A/C installation refreshing your head ;)

Really good
Such drama passion and energy. All the performers really threw themselves into the performance. Although it was probably their second or third show of the day it felt fresh and unstaged.

Excellent Flamenco Show. Just dancing, singing and music. And you are really close!
Excellent show. No dinner, no drinks…nothing to take away from the dancing and performances. It is a staged performance and you are very close to the stage. You can see and feel the emotion that all of the performers have as they dance, sing and play guitar. Just such a wonderful art. To me, it is almost like fireworks going off, and building to the finales which are always spectacular.
As others have said….come early. We were there probably 45 minutes before and waited. It is worth it. Our seats were in the center in the first row. It does fill up and they have a small balcony as well as side seating.

Must-do in Seville!
Mega! A must-do in Seville. It felt like living room of Andalusian friends. So much joy, passion and talent. Very authentic, not a classic tourist attraction.
