Friends and Fettuccine in Assisi

We had a great time with four friends learning the art of making Fettuccine from scratch. We learned which ingredients matter and the technique for building the dough (which was very different from how I do it at home). Very good instructions and lots of patience to try. We all had a wonderful time and took home our food to cook in a few days after it cured. Wonderful finish across the street with some tastings.

Nice memory in Assisi!

The activity was very educational and stimulating. The pasta was made step by step, with each step clearly explained, and Eleanor came to check each one to make sure we did everything correctly. When we booked the cooking class we felt that we were alone but when we arrived there were fifteen other people - for us it was not a problem, in fact it was even more fun, however I recommend contacting the reference cook if you want a private experience. The duration was also longer, about 3 and a half hours, allowing us to make two types of pasta. One we tried on the spot, accompanied by a glass of wine, the second we took home. An experience that certainly left us with a great memory of our trip, as well as teaching us something new in the kitchen!

Al dente

Visiting Assisi was a very happy experience for our group not only for the beauty of the charming city but also for the delicious Fettuccini Class that we did with Professor Eleonora, who taught us step by step the magic of preparing a good pasta. In a classroom prepared to prepare with their own hands, using yellow flour and organic products a beautiful paste, we end the journey in a delicious fettuccinada al dente to sauce sugo. In our group there were a total of 9 people. It was good to be with the family learning something in which everyone at the same time put their hand on the table. It was fun, original and typical.

We had a great time....

We had a great time. Eleonora was friendly and outgoing. Also, she was thorough and we learned and had fun with her. It was a great family experience. We recommend.

So glad we did this-one of our highlights of the trip

It was so fun!!! Elenora was wonderful teacher- she made us into pasta makers!!! The before wine tasting and cheese /salami / olive oil was great !!! Would definitely recommend this experience!!!!

Amazing and Authentic Pasta Class in Assisi

Eleanora was so lovely for our ravioli and fettuccine cooking class. She is instructive and sweet. It was absolute perfection. If you’re looking for an intimate experience in Assisi, this is it! 10/10!

Beautiful cooking school and fantastic ‘teacher’

Eleonore is not only a professional but also incredibly loving and helpful. We made fettucini and ravioli: it was fun to do and delicious! Thank you Eleonora!

Exceptional experience with Anna and her family

Our experience with Viator and our Cesarina host was exceptional! Our hosts included Anna (she did the meal preparation and cooking), Arnoldo (Anna’s husband) and Donatello (their son). We were greeted at their front door like we were old friends and by the time we left we felt like famiglia (family). We were three couples traveling Italy for a month, looking for an immersive experience with genuine Italian hospitality, food and conversation and we found it. Anna showed us how to prepare tiramisu and homemade pasta that we turned into ravioli and noodles. Preparing the meal with Anna was a treat for all of us including our hosts. Our group did not speak Italian other that a few words and our hosts spoke very little English, however, communication was not a problem. Anna and her family made us all laugh and made us feel right at home in their home. We shared a typical Italian meal that included an aperitivo, wine and the typical 4 course meal at their dining room table. The food we helped prepare was delizioso! We were celebrating a birthday this day and Anna had prepared, beside tiramisu, a special birthday cake that she brought out to the table while singing, in her best English, Happy Birthday. Our evening ended with them calling our taxi for the ride back to our hotel – that was a great help as our taxi driver didn’t really understand English. This evening, preparing and sharing a meal, is a top highlight of our trip and we highly recommend seeking out an opportunity to have Anna cook for you. We will never forget the laughs we had, the meal we shared, and friendship created.

Wonderful experience

My husband and I had a wonderful time cooking and visiting with Anna and her husband. They made us feel so welcome in their home. Anna is a great cook, the pasta and tiramisu were amazing. I would definitely recommend this experience if you would like to eat great food and visit with a delightful couple!

Amazing Experience!

Our cooking class with Anna Armanni and her family exceeded all expectations. Right from the start, we felt welcome in their home. We got a deep and authentic experience, and loved learning about traditional Umbrian cooking and customs. We enjoyed bruschetta, two types of pasta with two homemade sauces, and tiramisu. All simply delicious! And, as a bonus, the eggs and tomatoes came from their home. When we asked about local olive oil producers, they immediately called their neighbor who presses his own olives. The neighbor shortly arrived at their house with a container of olive oil for us! Thanks so much to your family for giving us an experience that you don’t get on the typical tourist trail!
