Lidia provided a very authentic multi-course meal. Way more than we expected. However, her son did the translation which was a little weak; so long as you’re prepared for that, it was worth it. Whenever I asked her how to prepare one of the many sidedishes, she immediately demonstrated. Lidia was a professional chef. Expect other family members and/or friend to pop in.

Wow, what an authentic experience. We were welcomed into Lidia’s house and felt like we were part of her family. We were able to participate in making the food and guided to the secrets of how to make the food taste delicious. We enjoyed lovely local wine. There was a huge amount of food that we were able to enjoy in her garden. The antipasto was abundant and made from locally sourced and fresh products. Our pasta was absolute perfection and we will be able to go home and make it for our family. The Tiramisu was the best I have ever eaten. Lidia packaged up extra Tiramisu for us to enjoy the next day with a coffee. Our night finished with sampling Lidia’s homemade Limoncello, so good!!! Overall, we left with our tummies and hearts full and a smile on our face from such an enjoyable night.
Such an incredible experience, to spend the evening with Lydia and her family. They are so welcoming and made us feel so at home showing us how to make tiramisu , two types of pasta snd aubergine parmigiana. We sat outside and ate together and our tummies were full!
Lidia and her family were so welcoming and kind and spoiled us with so much food!! We learned to make tiramisu, 2 types of fresh pasta, aubergine parmigiana, mini fried pizza doughballs - and then ate everything plus many other dishes they had prepared for us. Lovely experience which we would highly recommended!
Just what you expect. Italian cottage with Italian mom. Cozy, welcoming.. Language was an issue as expected; the son was present for that. Too bad you can't get the recipe on paper.
An unforgettable experience in Otranto with Lydia, a real Italian nonna! We learned how to make homemade pasta and a delicious tiramisu in a warm and welcoming family atmosphere. The kindness and authenticity of the nonna and her family made this experience even more special. It was a perfect moment to share as a couple, full of laughter, great flavors, and Italian traditions. I will never forget this day! Highly recommended. Take care Lydia!
Fantastic experience with Lidia and her family. We made eggplant parmigiana, 2 types of fresh pasta and tiramisu. She also prepares a few other dishes for you. Very centrally located in Otranto. Don't eat before you come!!!
