午後遅く、サンタ・マリア・ノヴェッラ大聖堂の美しいファサードの前で、広場のオベリスクの横でガイドと待ち合わせ。 ガイドは、私たちのロゴが入った紫色のTシャツを着ているので、簡単に見つけることができます。
フィレンツェの石畳の道を歩いていると、ワインの窓が目に留まるでしょう。これはコジモ・デ・メディチが16世紀に作ったもので、免税でワインを販売できるようにしたものです。これらの窓は、COVID-19の予防策と同様に、1600年代のペスト流行時には安全な取引に欠かせないものでした。現在、285の窓が保存されており、そのうちのいくつかは今も使用されています。フィレンツェ散策中、現地ガイドがこれらのユニークな特徴についてさらに詳しく教えてくれます。
その後は、イタリアで最も美しい建築物のひとつ、フィレンツェ大聖堂へ向かいます。正式にはサンタ・マリア・デル・フィオーレ大聖堂 (フィレンツェのドゥオーモ) と呼ばれています。1296 年にゴシック様式で着工され、アルノルフォ・ディ・カンビオが設計したドゥオーモ広場の大聖堂群には、洗礼堂とジョットの鐘楼があります。これら 3 つの建物は、フィレンツェの歴史的中心部を含むユネスコ世界遺産の一部であり、トスカーナの主要な観光名所となっています。
そこにいる間、ローマのサン・ピエトロ大聖堂、ロンドンのセント・ポール大聖堂に次いで世界で3番目に大きい見事なドーム、洗礼堂、そして周囲の広場の美しさを鑑賞することができます。
ドゥオモ広場やシニョーリア広場などの有名な広場に加えて、共和国広場も訪れることができます。ローマ時代には浴場、寺院、フォーラム、市場がありました。1000 年以降は、オールド マーケットとして知られる市場になりました。1600 年代には、コジモ 1 世がユダヤ人ゲットーをここに設立しました。現在の広場は、フィレンツェがイタリアの首都だった 1865 年から 1871 年の間に設計されました。都市の再開発であるイル リザナメントの期間中、このエリアは取り壊され、象徴的なメリーゴーランドを備えた現在の長方形の広場に再設計されました。

シニョーリア広場は、1330 年代初頭に市議会の会合場所として建設されました。現在、「古い宮殿」を意味するヴェッキオ宮殿は、政府関係者の集会場所として利用されています。この広場は野外博物館としても機能しており、イタリア ルネッサンス時代の数多くのオリジナル彫像が展示されています。
フィレンツェといえば、まず最初に思い浮かぶ観光名所の 1 つがヴェッキオ橋ではないでしょうか。 この絵のように美しい「古い橋」は、何世紀にもわたってフィレンツェの人々の生活や街の発展と絡み合い、数え切れないほどの物語を語り継いでいます。たとえば、フェルディナンド 1 世デメディチの要請により、1593 年から 1594 年にかけてヴェッキオ橋に宝石店が初めて現れたことをご存知ですか。それ以前は、橋には肉屋が並んでいました。肉屋は市内中心部の建物から離れた場所で営業する必要があり、廃棄物を直接川に捨てることが許されていたからです。
ツアーの最後の目的地の 1 つはサンタ クローチェ広場です。フィレンツェのサンタ クローチェ広場は、イタリア最大のフランシスコ会教会の 1 つである同名の大聖堂にちなんで名付けられました。この広場は、ジョットのフレスコ画、ベネデット ダ マイアーノ、デジデリオ ダ セッティニャーノ、カノーヴァの彫刻が収蔵されていることで有名で、ガリレイ、フォスコロ、ミケランジェロ、マキャヴェッリなどの著名人が眠る場所でもあります。この大聖堂は、イタリア統一以前から、長い間祖国の象徴となってきました。

Lucia gave us an amazing tour of Florence! We could tell, that she really loved her work! Lucia was very knowledgeable and she answered many of our questions! As we walked through the streets and the different plazas of Florence, we learnt so much about the town and the people, who lived there! It was a treat to meet her and have this memorable experience with my 2 adult daughters , while we were in Florence!
Our tour guide Anastasiia I believe was her name was upbeat full of information and entertaining. Would recommend to anyone. Going at night was a different perspective than being out and about during the day. The bar/restaurant we stopped at was excellent service and food.
Amazing time with Valentino.. would highly recommend this trip..tq for a wonderful evening in Florence.. got such a good view abt the city in a short period of time .thank you for making it memorable

First off, i would like thank Aviator for continuing with our tour, when I thought it was canceled due to the low no. of attendees for our date, but honored our request. It felt like a private tour with just the 4 of us including our very informative tour guide, making it a very enjoyable and relaxing evening, seeing the different sites & areas of the city. Our tour guide provide us with lots of history background of the city and answer any questions we had. To end the evening, apertivo at one of the popular bars, along with a delightful selection of food. It was wonderful! We fully had a great evening ... Thanks.
