Very good package to explore Hell’s Gate and Lake Naivasha. I managed to see all the animals. Definitely worth seeing. Good local guides both in park as well as at the lake. On top od that Joash was a great companion and driver. We had good talks all the way. He also really helped me when I had a little issue. Once again thank you Joash!

The experience was perfect for a day trip out of Nairobi, with a good mix of different landscapes, animals and outdoor activities, just in one day. It was not my first time in a park but first time cycling in a national park, in between zebra, antilopes, some giraffe and buffalo, in the Lion King like landscape, followed by a walk in the gorge, and a boat cruise in lake Naivasha, full of birds and hippo. The team was also very nice: David is a polite very interesting person and we had interesting discussions, even on the Kenyan economic and fiscal policy. Seth the guide was also very nice. The team from African Beast was also very understanding and answered my requests. Note that as indicated in the title, the tour does not include the bike rental and guide (it is only 20 USD), I hope this will be clarified in the section 'what is included'. But I recommend to do it: it can be a bit warm (you need protection from the sun) but any one with no serious health issue can do it.

We had a great day. We booked travel only to the park and lake, as we were a mixed group of foreign and citizens. Jane picked us up and was very helpful throughout the tour. Cycling in the park was fun, though a little tiring for the young ones in the heat with the manual bikes. Our guide there took us into the canyon which had good views. After cycling the lunch was welcome, go for local rather than western food. The ride on the lake was cooling with plenty of birds and hippos around. We all slept on the way back to Nairobi.

We had a great driver/ guide who made sure we fully enjoyed our experience! The bike tour was very cool seeing the animals and the natural wonders! The lake was also beautiful and very serene.

Omgoodness what a wonderful experience. Our driver, Jane, arrived early to our residence so that we could beat the Nairobi traffic out of the city. On the way to Hell’s Gate she stopped so that we could take some quick pictures, but don’t buy souvenirs because they will take advantage of you unless your are a skillful negotiator haha. We had a wonderful time at the park. Jane introduced us to Gomez our guide who helped us select bicycles. I like this option because the bikes are lent by people in the community and I like supporting the local community. Think globally— act locally!! Our guide Gomez helped us with purchasing our entrance tickets. He was always communicative of the prices and explained every fee. We even visited the gorge which is actually owned by the local Masai population so they have an additional $5 fee per person, cash only. Gomez ensured that we had a terrific experience. He was so kind and patient with us explaining the history, and landscape of the park. I even got to go rock climbing for the first time ever!! After we all had lunch at a nearby restaurant suggested by Jane (great food, service, and prices) before heading to Lake Naivasha. Thank you, Gomez and Jane for an amazing experience. Gomez was a wonderful tour guide and Jane an excellent driver navigating us safely back to Nairobi. Next time we will have to check out the natural hot springs spa!

A great trip with Jane our driver who took us there and back and organised the cycles and lunch as well as the boat ride. She was great with our son and made us all feel energised! Jane was knowledgable and a joy to travel with. Would definitely recommend her for your trip! Take some water, snacks, sun cream and a hat and sunglasses - all very useful for the day!

The Naivasha boat ride was equally amazing, with beautiful views, hippos, and so many birds in their natural habitat. It was the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation. A special thank you to Joash, our guide and driver, who made the trip exceptional. He safely drove us from Nairobi to Naivasha and back, was punctual, professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a memorable experience. His recommendations and local insights made the tour even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kenya. If you get the chance to have Joash as your guide, you’re in great hands! Fantastic trip to Hell’s Gate with African Beast Safaris! Everything was well organized, and our driver, Jane, was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience even better. She was knowledgeable and made sure we had a great day. Highly recommended!

An excellent way to see the beauty of Kenya without the constraints of a Land Cruiser. American family of 4, with two teenagers wanted a day trip to combine with our Safari so we booked with African Beast after reading great reviews and seeing the competitive pricing. Jane, our driver was amazing. She reached out to us via WhatsApp the day before to make sure our pickup location and time were correct. She arrived timely and got us through the sometimes crazy traffic conditions to the location. She was funny and kind and took great care of us. Stopping at a safari camp restaurant before the bike ride to let us use the washroom and preorder food so that we could use as much time in nature as possible. She also connected us with our bike rental/guide Gomez outside the gate of the park. Gomez was incredible. He took care of us, even when I broke a chain on my bike. He was thoughtful, funny, and went way out of his way to make sure our time at Hells Gate was great. The bike ride was excellent, stops along the way to look at wildlife and landscapes. The best part of Hells Gate is actually the scenery. After about an 8KM bike ride on a road, we set the bikes aside and went for a hike for about an hour in a gorge. It was our family’s favorite part of the day. The weather in July is perfect, low 70s F so the hike was incredible with great vistas. Make sure to wear good shoes or boots as there is some mud and water at times but I can’t recommend it enough. Afterwords we had a quick lunch, which was very good. And went on the boat ride for $25 a person. In my opinion, take it or leave it.. there are some cool views of animals on Crescent Island, but if you are doing a Safari as well on your trip, this part is unnecessary. It takes about an hour. Afterwards Jane got us home safely by early evening, the drive was about 2.5 hours. Overall, it was a great day trip. Jane and Gomez were incredible!

Amazing experience overall. Jane was our super professional, experienced driver who also acted as guide on our drive in (and provided such a comfortable ride we napped on the way back). Kelvin was a great guide. The park is incredible. So unique to bike next to zebras and giraffe! 1000/10. The gorge was truly breathtaking. Great day overall.
