Pick up was convenient, right at the pier. The van was cool and comfortable, roomy because there were only 2 of us. Emilia was a charming guide, a safe driver and very knowledgeable about wine and the area. The winery was beautiful and the lunch with the tasting was perfect. This was a memorable experience.
We had wonderful time visiting 2 wineries in Tuscany in the Chianti region! Our tour guide Massimo was wonderful!! We became fast friends by the end of the tour! The wines and the wineries were amazing! The stories and families behind each made the experience even more special! We loved the wines at each so much, we purchased a case from each!
I have used a lot of drivers in Tuscany but hands down Maximo was the best. Everything was perfect. I was concerned about lunch and left it to them. They told me it would be a light lunch it was a five course meal with pairings. Wineries were all different but all deserve 5 stars. Never rushed beautiful day and lots of fun with Maximo.
I highly recommend this tour if you want to experience Tuscany. Massimo ensured we had the experience of a lifetime. His knowledge of the area, good sense of humor, professional manner all made it a memorable experience for us and he went out of his way to customize the tour to our needs and interests. We joined him on the tour as a professional tour guide and left him as a friend. We look forward seeing him again on our next visit to the area.
