Please do not book this tour. I booked the private tour for a special occasion through Viator, I normally only use Get Your Guide, for some reason I didn’t see a comparable tour with them so booked with Viator instead. I gave the hotel name and location in the booking and tried to contact the provider a couple of days before by the number provided (out of use/ not recognised) and through Tripadvisor to confirm the pick up location. I received no response but when I phoned trip advisor to enquire they told me they had all the relevant details and would reply within 1 hour. I heard nothing and then the tour provider didn’t turn up (after I tried contacting through TA messages again). I phoned TA who tried to contact the provider and told me if they didn’t get a response within 30 mins then I would be refunded. After 9.5 hours I called back and was told I would then get a refund. Really poor service after using Get your Guide for years, I managed to book the same tour through them for the following day and it was cheaper and I had communication straight away. I’d recommend to use GYG for this tour and avoid any tours provided by Andre Marques (your provider).

Warning! Provider did not show up, did not contact us beforehand or after, did not respond to text or voice calls. Did not respond to Viator customer support. We wasted over an hour waiting. Very disappointing. I would rate a zero if allowed.

We had a wonderful day with our guide Miguel who was amazing! Of all the tours we have done this was definitely one of the best, Miguel has an outstanding knowledge of the area and we learnt so much from him, he was very attentive and ensured the whole day went smoothly and seamlessly. A great experience we will never forget. Highly recommend this tour.

One of our favorite days during our trip to Europe!! We wanted something different and more interactive than sightseeing in Sintra. Joao was an amazing tour guide, incredibly personable as we had great conversation, learned a lot, provided many recommendations, and played great music on the drive. We weren’t sure to cancel since the original vehicle was out of commission, but it still was a super fun but professional tour! Really did feel like a friend was driving us around rather than a tour guide. All the stops were excellent, and Joao coordinated with the hosts at every one for us. I have been to wineries in Napa Valley, and these stops are comparable in beauty and taste! The drive through the mountain coast also reminded me of coastal California!

I'd describe my experience on this trip as hanging out for a day with a Portuguese Anthony Bourdain (my guide was Andrew). I went with my wife and we both had a blast. Andrew was friendly, enthusiastic, and deeply knowledgeable about the greater Lisbon area and history. He made us feel at home throughout the trip and constantly checked up on us and made sure we had a great time. No pressure to engage in conversation (if you're an introvert like my wife and I). Good music in the van to fill in the space between drives with occasional commentary on the scenery / local area that you're passing through Beautiful sights, great food, good wine. Some good exposure to modern/traditional winemaking as well as local history and geography. The tour is structured to be interesting even if you don't necessarily have a deep interest in the subject matters (local geography, winemaking, history) but it helps a lot of you are curious and come into this with an open mind to learn a little bit. You get to spend time at your own pace on each stop and it does not feel rushed. Each stop is interesting and unique and does not feel repetitive. No upselling/pressure to spend at any stop as well. The only thing I'd recommend to the operators to improve is to provide a bottle of water in the van for each passenger as it can get quite hot /dehydrating throughout the trip and there aren't many stops where you're able to buy water. if you plan to book this, bring some shades and some water and have a great time. Definitely worth your money, I'd recommend this to anyone coming to Lisbon with a day to spare in your itinerary. 10/10 experience.

The travelers should know beware when it says wine and food. You’ll get wine, but all they had was crackers at the second winery to clear your pallet as the food option. And I do understand that you had to buy lunch, but I thought the 2nd wineries would have a little more food than crackers!!

Absolutely fantastic experience, had so much fun all day and Miguel is one of the best guides we have ever had on any tour around the world. Very thoughtful, comfortable, and fun planned day and great locations!

Nuno was awesome. He was a great guide. The entire day from start to finish was very fun. Would recommend to all.

A lovely tour! Nuno was a great guide and driver. Very knowledgeable about the history of Lisbon and ensured we stayed on track. Both the wineries he brought us too were wonderful and the wine was delicious. Would recommend to all!
