Boo hiss boo
Day one of our 2 day premium ticket was great. We enjoyed everything about it. However, we lost our paper tickets. Although I had the receipt, they refused to even discuss it. This is Wrong. Since I had the voucher, why couldn’t they check ID to see I was who bought it? And the dude was rude too.

For security and operational reasons, once a voucher is scanned and redeemed, our system converts it into a paper bus pass, which acts as a physical boarding ticket that our drivers must inspect upon boarding.
However, our team should always address these situations with empathy, clear explanation, and helpful customer service.

Not great for many desired locations and not enough helpful signage or map accuracy for stops.
The map locations for stops are not accurate and makes stops very hard to find. Wide variance in quality of busses. We froze all day in a bus with open air top level only to find our bus the next day when warmer had windows that slid open and closed. Did not go close enough to key stops to rather get there quickly or to take photos from bus of landmarks. Recoding did not match what we were looking at. Overall a pretty big disappointment from other hop on hop off cities.

Navigating a new city should be seamless, and having difficulty finding stops or keeping track of commentary certainly detracts from the experience.

We can only blame any fun...
We can only blame any fun that we could have had on the wind and cold. We froze on the top level. Other than that, it would have been great.

Gritty, like the city
Very old and dirty busses. The drivers drive like MANIACS and came very close to hitting pedestrians on multiple occasions. Multiple, elderly women fell while trying to climb the stairs

Did not enjoy
We did not enjoy this experience- buses were always so full. No air conditioning. Very hard to see the views from either level. Stops and pick ups didn’t seem consistent, so we seemed to have to do a lot of waiting around.

Okay trip
Our first part of the trip was good. However the second part was disappointing as they had not dried off the seats on the top deck after rain during the night. Also people were boarding when there were no seats available and so got crowded. The commentary was good.

Great option to get around!
On the recommendation of a local, we decided to purchase a 48-hour on-off pass while we were visiting Budapest. One of the best purchases we made! We already had an idea of some of the sport we wanted to visit, and the bus stops at/near all of them.
It made getting around very convenient and for the $50USD (which INCLUDED a Danube river boat cruise, it can’t be beat!
