Wonderful

Excellent Food Tour
Carla was an excellent guide, she loves food, knows a lots of stuff about it here in Cusco and she was very kind and considerable. The menu was perfect! I can only recommend this food tour.

Good cultural tour, not so much food
Overall it was a good tour. We didn’t eat too much food, but they learn a lot about the city of Cusco. We started at the market and had some indigenous fresh fruits, I got some history about the market. Then we went to a restaurant and learned about ceviche and how it is made here. We also had a tasting of some pork adobo, alpaca steak, a few different types of drinks like tea and juices, along with fermented corn drinks, and a little dessert. It was very interesting and things I would not have tried all my own. The history part of Cusco was very interesting but it was a little disappointing for the price paid with so few tastings.

Hello, Thank you for your review! We are sorry to hear you felt that tasting 14 flavors wasn't enough. People usually feel satisfied, both in terms of quantity of tastings and portion sizes. It is worth noting that in your list tamal, chicha morada and ocopa are missing. Another point that I believe needs to be considered is altitude sickness. Health professionals do not recommend overeating when spending just a few days in the Andes. We don't want people to leave the tour hungry either, and as such we strongly believe that we have found the right balance that will work for most people. Given that a large majority of clients are happy with food offerings (as highlighted in other reviews), servings will remain unchanged for the time being, but we will keep an open mind in case similar reports arise. We are glad that you enjoyed all the other aspects of the tour though!

Great way to experience the city and culture of Cusco
I had a great time, would recommend. Carla my guide was super nice and knowledgable, the different tasting were well thought out. It is a great way to experience the city and culture all rolled into a single easy to do package.

Worth it!
We took a 4-hour food tour with Carla through Cusco yesterday. Carla was very passionate, very likable, and gave us a lot of information about the food and the region. The 4 hours flew by and we had a great time. The meals/drinks were very varied and extremely delicious. The walk through the San Pedro market and the demonstration of the ceviche preparation were also great. Overall 100% recommendation.

Good tour, undeterred by the rain
Did this tour on a day of torrential rain, which could easily have ruined it. Clara kept the group’s spirits up and never let the weather dictate the mood. She gave us a solid overview of Cusco’s food culture — the stops were well chosen and well sequenced, and included places we’d never have found on our own. Good value and worth doing.

Highly recommended
Excellent variety of foods, all of high quality. Generous portions, but not too much. My pescatarian wife was very happy with her substitutions. Good information both on food and the area and culture more generally. Carla was first-rate.
