Booked through Bentota Travel Mart from the UK. Collected from the hotel at 4am, transfer to the park took 3 hours. Stopped at a small cafe for a Tea/Coffee/Comfort break before being transferred to the Safari Jeep. A quick 15 minutes from there and we entered the park. We spent the morning travelling around the park and were lucky enough to spot lots of different animals including Elephants and a Leopard. At noon we stopped for a 2 hour lunch break which consisted of a picnic by the river. The food was ok and the fruit and cold drinks were certainly welcome. Then the afternoon was spent doing a few more laps of the park before heading back to the hotel. The safari was very good however there are a couple of points to consider: 1 - It is a LONG day. We left our hotel at 4am and got back at 8pm. 2 - It is a bumpy ride in the park and it is relentless. Maybe not one for anyone with a bad back!! 3 - Take advantage of any opportunities to have a comfort break. Once in the park you only have 2 choices if needed, a tree or a bush.

If you’re in the area, I’d highly recommend making the time for it. We got to see so many different animals, including leopards, elephants, crocodiles and plenty of other wildlife. Our tracker was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and he really went the extra mile to help us spot the animals. Thanks to him, we managed to tick off almost everything we were hoping to see! To top it all off, we were treated to a delicious Sri Lankan meal at the end of the safari. Overall, such a memorable experience and one we’d definitely recommend!

Great experience, especially the elephants & crocs

What a fantastic experience, absolutely amazing. Booked this trip thry Tripadvisor and the whole process has been so smooth and easy. Great communication from the tour operator and our taxi driver who picked us up early in the morning to take us from Ella to Yala. The safari was magnificent, saw many animals but most important we saw elephants which was the highlight. I would highly recommend this tour.

The trip was well organized, driver was great and give everything to show us as many animals as possible. Great lunch in a good restaurant included! Well done!

What stood out most about our Yala Safari was how relaxed the whole experience felt. We never felt like we were being rushed from one place to another, which gave us time to enjoy the park properly. During the safari we saw elephants, crocodiles, spotted deer, peacocks, monkeys, wild boar, and many beautiful birds. We were also fortunate to spot a leopard, making the day even more memorable. Our driver was friendly, drove responsibly, and always positioned the jeep so everyone had a clear view without disturbing the wildlife. Everything was well organized, and I would happily recommend this Yala Safari to anyone looking for a genuine wildlife experience in Sri Lanka

We were on the road early for our Yala Safari, and it was definitely worth the early start. The park was calm, and it felt great watching nature slowly come to life. Throughout the safari we saw elephants, crocodiles, spotted deer, peacocks, monkeys, wild boar, and many beautiful birds. Just when we thought the trip was ending, we were lucky enough to spot a leopard. Our driver was friendly, careful, and never rushed between sightings. He always made sure everyone had time to enjoy the moment. It was a comfortable, well-organized safari that I would happily recommend to anyone visiting Yala

The tour was perfectly organized by Sam and our guide Dinesh led us very well through the day. The safari was simply wonderful and the lunch very delicious! 😍

Overall great trip. It started early but we were able to get to the park for 6.30am and see lots of animals. Seen a couple of leopards, loads of elephants, some monkeys and other wildlife. Our guide was great at finding each animal and making sure we had enough time at each. Food was delicious. A long day but worth it.

Had a well-organised trip. We didn’t want to deal with all the logistics so the inclusive deal meant return trip from our hotel in Midigama to Tissa which started with a 430am pick up, entry fees into Yala, jeep safari and guide, plus lunch. You aren’t guaranteed to see every animal but our guide was able to show us a family of 3 elephants, a leopard sleeping in the distance, countless crocodiles and many other animals.We were back at our hotel at around 2pm so a chance to relax for the remainder of our day, Good communication from company. A fantastic day.
