What to do when your cruise ship excursion to Mont St. Michel is sold out? Hire Vexperio! This independent provider delivered an incredible experience to about 40 of us from three ships in port today at Le Havre. Upfront planning and communication with Vexperio was excellent. When Celebrity told us we couldn’t get off the ship at the right time, I panicked. Will I miss my trip?, I asked them the night before. “We know what’s going on with the ships”, came the reply from Vexperio in the morning. “We got you”. When I left the ship, Vexperio had personnel on the ground outside security to guide you to your bus. Still it’s a tight day to cover Mont St. Michel in a day from Le Havre, and now we have a late start. “Not to worry” said our wonderful tour guide, Maja (pronounced like Maya for Americans). “My driver Stephon and I have you. We can work this out”, and they did! What a great day. The trip involves about 5+ hours of driving. You need a good driver and they had a great one. You want a good ride for such a long trip. Their bus was clean, environmentally controlled, comfortable, and looked practically new. Maja then took over. A tour guide with an optimistic and joyful outlook who loves people. She takes time to also speak individually to each couple or passenger on the bus. She had the right balance of laying out the day, imparting knowledge, remaining quiet when travelers appreciate a nap, and managing our rest stop each way. She also has an engaging sense of humor. When we arrived at our destination, Vexperio distributed prepared packages with a delicious lunch to save time on the ground. Speaking of being on the ground, Maja took the lead and escorted us all the way in, both showing us the tricks of the trade and also coaching us to avoid the obstacles. “You are my responsibility; I’ve never lost a traveler nor left one behind; I will get you back to your ship on time” was certainly reassuring to hear from Maja. After we received our lunch, instructions, and guided escort, Maja turned us loose for a few hours on our own and a departure time to aim for that would get us back to the bus on time. Mont St. Michel is an incredible sight and I’ve always wanted to see it. If you plan to visit the abbey on top, bring your climbing shoes. Our ride back to the ship was very restful but after our nap time, Maja again imparted some local knowledge and we had some fun together. You can engage this company without worry. Ask for Maja.

Very comfortable bus and Stephan was a safe driver. Mount Saint Michel is beautiful, interesting and worth the time. Our guide Maja added greatly to the experience by being generous with the history of not just MSM but also of Normandy, she was also mindful to allow the passengers rest and quiet time during the bus ride. Her tips on what to see and visit allowed us to maximize our limited time on the island. She also ensured everybody got on the bus on time.

Myra is extremely passionate and knowledgeable. We enjoy spending time with her a great deal.

Our ship arrived into port late, so we were 45 minutes late for our tour. We were both amazed and very grateful that the bus was still there waiting for people from our ship! Our guide Mija was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and informative. Mija constantly checked in with us to make sure we understood meeting places and arrangements as well as making sure we had no further questions. Great mannerism and very personable. We had an amazing time and we really appreciated our tour guide Maja - she was very helpful, personable, and informative. Mont St Michel was an incredible experience, and we thought it was well worth the money. We appreciated the yummy packed lunch with the baguette sandwich from local French ingredients, and we had plenty of time at Mont St Michel to explore the abbey and the island.

We had a lovely trip to Mont St Michel. Normandy was beautiful and Maja gave us a lot of great information and history along the drive while also giving us time to rest. She was happy to answer any questions people had and give additional guidance as needed. The whole tour was very well organized and their communication with us ahead of time was very helpful. I knew exactly where to go off the cruise ship and they got us back in plenty of time. The included lunch was also delicious!
