What a great tour! Debbie from the walking tour and Gretta from the Accademia Gallery were wonderful. Their explanations really helped me understand the history and culture of Florence better. Special shout-out to Gretta for giving an amazing story of David - I feel educated now!
Awesome knowledge and wonderful tour!!! Both of our guides were amazing! I highly recommend these tours and the whole family enjoyed walking and learning about the history and culture!
Walking tour portion was very informative and visit to Accademia was very informative b/c the guide was knowledgeable. Wear comfortable shoes. Suggest this tour if you are new to the city and have not visited many of the sites yet. We had already been in Florence for a few days and visited several of the sites that we saw on the tour.
Our tour guide, Leti was amazing! She was funny and informative. We learned a lot about art and what to look for. It was nice to skip the long lines and have someone take you to the most important pieces of art and sculpture! Well worth it! Leti also gave us recommendations for where to get pizza, panini’s, and gelato. We tried all three!!! Thank you for a great experience!!
Sylvia Marquès was a wonderful guide, expert in her historical lectures as we toured Florence. She is first class, knowledgeable, personable, and patient with all questions. Would recommend her highly!
Alfanso was personable and very knowledgeable as he guided on our walking tour of the city. I learned so much about the history of Florence in an enjoyable manner. He answered ALL of our questions and was extremely patient. He’s the perfect tour guide.
I would recommend this to anyone having their first visit to Florence. Wonderful tour operator. Gave just enough information without being overwhelming. Would book all my excursion through them!
We went on this half day tour on our first full day in Florence. We checked in at Piazzale Montelungo and waited until 8:30. Then we began to load the bus. We were given this tour, so we didn't really know what to expect. We thought we were just going to the Accademia gallery, but that was only part of it. As we drove through the city we were given excellent information on the history that we passed. Our first stop was at Piazzale Michelangelo, where we had about 25 mins to take pictures and admire the view. We had been there before, so we took advantage of being able to sit at the café and have a coffee. Then we were driven further and eventually drove through Firesole, which is elevated higher than Florence. It was a quaint little town that we literally drove through and then back down, but the views on the way up and down were spectacular. Then we drove through and back to Florence and did the Accademia tour, after a brief walk to get there. There was a short wait to get our group in. It was sweltering outside, and with no AC inside, again it was extremely hot, and there were a lot of people in the museum as well. Our guide instructed us on many of the sculptures and art. It was great. We were there for about 45 minutes, maybe an hour. That was long enough to see everything and take photos. Then we walked to the Duomo and were instructed more on the Baptistry and the church. Then the tour was over. Our guide (sorry, forget her name) was really good. We took this tour on July 6, so hopefully she gets credit for being good.
We went on a tour of the Accademia Gallery with Guido. He was very passionate and brought the gallery alive for us.
I went to the Gallery to see David! I was like a child who just saw Santa Claus..rs It's an excitement! I watched standing...then I sat...and couldn't stop sushing!
