ミーティングポイントに到着したら、パリで最も古い集落であるイルドラシテを探索してツアーを開始します。かつてルテティアとして知られていたこの旧ローマの都市は、現在のパリの前身であり、そこから街は外側に向かって成長しました。
世界で最も愛され、中世ゴシック建築の傑作とされる教会、象徴的なノートルダム大聖堂（規制により内部見学はガイドなし）の中へ。 2019年の火災後に新たに修復され、パリで最も不朽のシンボルの1つとなっています。
シテ島に位置するパレデジャスティスは、かつてパレデラシテとして知られていましたが、以下のような最も古い建物が残っています。
ゴシック様式の逸品、サンシャペルは7年で建てられました。サンルイが獲得した、キリストのいばらの冠など、貴重なキリスト教の遺物を収容することを目的としていました。
コンシェルジュリーはパレドゥラシテの最も古い残りの部分であり、かつてはフランス全土で最も悪名高い刑務所でもあります。千人以上の「革命の敵」がそこに収容され、マリー・アントワネットのような有名な人物はそこで命を落としました。
その後、ナポレオン3世の下で、オスマンによって委託された記念碑的な噴水であるサンミッシェル噴水を通ります。大天使ミカエルが悪魔を打ち負かし、善と悪の戦いを思い起こさせます。
その後、パリのすべての美しさとロマンスを兼ね備えた美しい歴史的な広場、ドフィネ広場を見ます。シテ島の西端に位置するドフィネ広場は、アンリ4世によって委託された最初のプロジェクトの1つでした。
ここから、パリで最も古い石橋と考えられている橋、ヌフ橋まで歩いて行きます。今日、ポンヌフはユネスコの世界遺産に登録されているセーヌ川の銀行の一部です。
橋の真ん中には、4世の騎馬像があります。元の像は1600年代のものですが、今日見るのは、フランス革命中に破壊されたため、配置されたレプリカです。
ルーヴル美術館に向かう前に、フランス工科大学とルーヴル美術館を結ぶ橋であるポンデザールがあります。 1801年から1804年の間に建設された、パリで最初の鉄橋でした。
その後、悪名高いルーヴル美術館に向かいます。ルーヴル美術館は、古代文明から19世紀半ばまでの作品を収蔵する世界で最も訪問された美術館です。ツアーのこの部分では、ルーヴル宮殿の主要な中庭の1つであるクールカレを通り抜け、中国系アメリカ人建築家I.M.ペイによって設計された美術館のメイン入り口であるルーブルピラミッドを見ます。
1633年にリシュリュー枢機byによって作成されたパレロワイヤルとその庭園は、ルーブル美術館から歩いてすぐです。宮殿には、ベルサイユ宮殿が建てられるまで王室が住んでいました。ここでは、現代的な彫刻が施された幻想的な未来建築に囲まれた静かな庭園をお楽しみいただけます。
ルーヴル美術館を後にして、チュイルリー庭園に向かって歩き、ナポレオンの軍事勝利を記念して建てられた巨大なアークArc旋門を通ります。
その後、17世紀にまで遡るパリ最古の公園であるチュイルリー庭園に入ります。
チュイルリー公園を散歩していると、庭にあるギフトやカードに加えて、園芸やランドスケープデザインの本の大規模なコレクションが置かれた古風な書店、ガーデンズブックショップを通り過ぎます。
コンコルド広場でのツアーを終了します。コンコルド広場は、フランス革命中に処刑場所として知られていた場所であり、シャンゼリゼの始まりを意味します。

Our tour guide Jay was fantastic! This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Paris. His knowledge of French history was incredible, and you could tell he truly loves what he does. He could easily be a history professor, the kind whose class you look forward to attending. We highly recommend Jay!
These are the WORST tour operators. Notre Dame interior was closed, but they ONLY let us know TWO days before the trip. ALL the other operators had their information updated for weeks. We were left with NO options. Completely unreliable, they will ruin your holiday. Every other operator made arrangements for their customers more than a week before because the Ordination did not just happen. They notified us two days before the trip and too late to get another booking anywhere. (They offered a 10% discount which was ridiculous, the whole purpose of the tour!)
We enjoyed our tour with Jay. He has incredible knowledge about the historic sites in Paris and shared so many interesting stories with us. He was mindful of the heat and noise in the city and always sought a shaded and quiet place to share information with us. We felt like we were wondering the streets of Paris with a friend. Jay was very informative and answered all of our questions. We really saw the highlights of Paris and learned so much with him. I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in the history of Paris and of the historic sites.
I traveled last week with my sister and my 24 year old niece. This was one of our favorite experiences on our trip to Paris. Florian was an amazing guide - personal, knowledgeable, and engaging. It felt like he walked us first hand through the incredibly rich history of this small island that birthed one of the greatest cities in the world. And as we walked through the city streets between locations, we got a glimpse into the life of a local art student with insight into the surrounding architecture, art, people, and daily life of a Parisian. It was fantastic. Do your self a favor and book it - and request Florian. :)
Alasdair S was born to be a host. He was knowledge and a natural, he even did reenactments. He was accommodating to everyone in the group and kept us on track. It is obvious he loves his job. It was a pleasure spending the day with him. My teenage daughter enjoyed it as well. He wasn’t dry and monotone and kept her interest. We all learned and had a great time.
Tour around Ile de la Cite and the South Bank. Entry to Notre Dame was not possible due to the crowds, so try to book an early morning tour. Sophie, our guide was very knowledgeable and we learnt lots of interesting facts.
Georgia was awesome! She was very well versed on all subject matter, engaging and pleasant. Totally recommend!

This was an amazing experience. Jason was so knowledgeable and personable. He was considerate of the needs to the attendees. It was a hot Paris day for our tour but he made sure to get us to places of shade. He made history very interesting to my ten-year-old son who asked lots of questions but also not to watered down so the adults could enjoy the culture and history of Paris. This experience was recommended and I am so glad we did it!
