アテネの観光は、アクロポリスの丘から始まります。歴史的な丘では、ヘロデスアッティコスのオデオン、アテナナイキの神殿、記念碑的な門（プロピュライア）、エレクテウム、そしてもちろん、処女の女神アテナに捧げられた有名なパルテノン神殿を見ることができます。 。
プロピュライアは、街の守護神アテナに捧げられた神聖なエリアへの記念碑的な入り口です。建築家ムネシクレスがペンテリコ大理石で建てた彼らのデザインは前衛的でした。プロピュライアの南西、アクロポリスの正面玄関を保護する城壁に、アプテロスナイキのイオニア寺院があります。

ディオニュソス劇場は、アテネの主要な劇場であり、アテナイのアクロポリスのふもとに建てられた世界初の劇場と考えられています。
ヘロデスアッティコスのオデオンは、ギリシャのアテネのアクロポリスの南西斜面にある石造りのローマ劇場構造です。建物は西暦161年に完成し、1950年に改装されました。
博物館の敷地に入ると、プレキシガラスの床を通して、古代アテナイ地区の遺跡を見ることができます。この遺跡は、発掘中に発見された後、美術館のデザインに巧妙に組み込まれました。現存する宝物はまだギリシャの所有物です。このコレクションはアルカイック時代とローマ時代をカバーしていますが、ギリシャの芸術的功績の神格化と考えられる紀元前5世紀のアクロポリスに重点が置かれています。
プラカには村のような雰囲気があり、狭い石畳の通りには宝石、衣服、地元の陶器を売る小さな店が並んでいます。歩道のカフェや家族経営のタベルナは遅くまで営業しており、シネパリではクラシック映画を屋外で上映しています。近くのアナフィオティカ周辺の白塗りの家は、小さな飛び地にギリシャの島の雰囲気を与えています。
活気のあるモナスティラキは、ハドリアヌス帝の図書館の遺跡、古代アゴラ、アテロスの再建されたストアなどの象徴的なランドマークで知られ、アテネの遺物を展示する博物館があります。モナスティラキフリーマーケットは、職人技の石鹸、手作りのサンダル、お土産Tシャツを販売する寄せ集めの店です。周辺の通りには伝統的なタベルナやレストランが多くあり、その多くからアクロポリスの景色を眺めることができます。

We had a great tour of all the historic sites along with more modern sites in Athens. Aris was an excellent guide who modified our tour to cover our specific interests. He has a great knowledge of how things were built. Highly recommend him and the tour. We were disappointed he could not join us for lunch.
We only had one afternoon and evening in Athens- so we decided to focus our on the Acropolis museum followed by the Acropolis. Our guide's, Natalia, knowledge of Greek history and artifacts were exceptional- all while delivering it to us with much enthusiasm. Natalia was able to navigate the crowds and entry points without any waiting.

Highly recommend this tour as a good introduction to Athens. The tour started in the most perfect place at the Acropolis Museum & then up to the Parthenon after which we walked all over Athens. Our guide was so knowledgeable & interesting & spoke perfect English.

We had a great time visiting Athens with a local guide who walked us through Acropolis Museum, arthenon, Monastriaki and Plaka. Despite the cold weather, we enjoyed learning about the ancient Greek culture from our very knowledgeable guide.
