Tu was great, very passionate about his country. He was friendly and really helpful. The lunch was tasty. I think we missed the Opera house and train street (though we did drive past it). Overall a good way to really see the city and key points of interest. Tiring but worth it.

Our guide Nick was excellent. He was very attentive and took the time to explain each activities and answered all our questions with a smile. The reason why we gave an average rating is because the operator changed some of the tour activities without warning, especially the train street one, where we were supposed to sit down and take a coffee (main reason why we chose this activity instead of another one). Given this, despite our guide bringing us to the street, we got yelled at by the restaurant owner and chased from there as we did not have a reservation which ruined the experience.

Actually a good choice for this tour, but a few fundamental things bother me: The app indicated hotel pickup, even though that wasn't possible at my hotel. Very confusing for me! Also, my explicit question days before the tour was not answered at all by customer service. Bad! The visit to "Train Street" announced for the tour didn't even take place! That is absolutely unacceptable! At the very least, there should be an explanation as to why that wasn't done. Our guide was trying, but not particularly engaged.

However, we sincerely apologize that this information was not made clear enough to you when you booked the tour. We understand that seeing “hotel pickup” in the app without clearly explaining the pickup-area restriction could understandably be confusing. We will review how this information is presented to avoid similar misunderstandings in the future. We are also very sorry that your question to our customer service team several days before the tour was not answered. We specifically booked with this tour as it clearly advertised it could pick up from our hotel. The night before we were due to go on the tour they told us we would have to make our own way to meet them at the start of the tour! When I said we would cancel it they said as it had been a last minute cancellation there would be no refund. This is unacceptable behaviour & no way to treat visitors to your country. Therefore, if your hotel is outside Hanoi Old Quarter, the tour does not include direct hotel pickup from that location. We understand that the tour information may have caused confusion, and we are sorry if the pickup conditions were not sufficiently clear when you made your booking. 2. Regarding the pickup confirmation time As this was a group tour, the pickup schedule and order had to be arranged according to the number of guests and their respective pickup locations. For this reason, contacting you the night before the tour was part of our normal operational process, rather than an intentionally late notification. The guide & driver were lovely, however the locations were not as listed on the itinerary, with train street not included at all. It was also a combined full & half day trip so a number of back & forth to different hotels throughout the day to pick groups up.

The Hanoi City Full Day Tour was an average experience overall. It was a convenient way to see some of Hanoi's main attractions, and the guide was friendly and helpful. However, the guide's English was only average, which made it difficult at times to fully understand the information being shared. One of the biggest disappointments was that the itinerary was changed from what was originally advertised. It felt like the company had combined guests from the half-day and full-day tours to suit their business operations, which resulted in a different experience from what we had booked. And some of the places we were expecting to visit were replaced by the places we weren't interested. We were also disappointed that we were not picked up from our accommodation as we booked, which made the start of the day less convenient. Instead, the tour bus was 20min late. Overall, the tour provided a basic introduction to Hanoi and its history, but the changes to the itinerary and communication challenges meant it did not fully meet our expectations. It was okay, but there is definitely room for improvement in delivering the tour that customers have paid for.
